Lets not forget about the blocking from the rest of the group but yes the OLine has been a very pleasant upgrade.

This is a very true statement. The one who can not be praised enough is ROBERT WOODS. His blocking is consistently lights out.

McVay didn't dare call a play with an empty backfield and five WR's on the line last year. Goff would've been killed. This OL is playing lights out with Stafford having time to go through all his reads. With the way the OL is performing, McVay doesn't need playaction.

Whitworth's comments earlier this year about this being his last year IMO comes after the FO gave him the courtesy of letting him know they plan to move on with Noteboom. It's his time, but they would be remiss if they did not make him an OL assistant coach given how he's been mentoring so many of them.
The more I listen to McVay I think they are hoping that Rob is serviceable through this season and next to garner them Snead's coveted comp picks. This will give them 2 years to develop A. Jack into his successor. A. Jack's forte is in run blocking though he was solid in the preseason as a pass blocker. You want a run-blocking OT on the right side.
Perhaps you haven't noticed but Stafford has had less pressure than most if not all the other NFL QBs. That is not by accident. Improved blocking techniques (coaching) and the most overlooked factor is better in-game blocking calls by the center. Allen's blocking calls have been pretty much on spot. That was a huge weakness of Blythe along with his poor blocking. It's exactly why Allen was promoted to starting center over Corbett. It was Corbett's achilles heel in Cleveland and why he was benched. It's the hardest part of being a center. In pass protection, blocking is secondary to getting the calls right. Allen's ability to get those calls right (proven over the last 3 games against good D front 7), his ability to take on one on one blocks, and his mobility to make second-level blocks in the run game have validated his promotion.
People denigrate his 2019 play, but in those 9 games, Allen outplayed Blythe. He got benched by Kromer, not because of his play. I have no doubt that Carberry was in McVay's ear about the issues with Corbett, but Sean's ego wouldn't make the change until he saw it for himself in Vegas. It is no secret that Corbett's inability to make the correct calls were why he was abruptly moved back to RG. It's why I've always contended Allen was their best option at the position. It's also clear by their carrying Shelton that he's their #2 center. If they want Corbett to be a serviceable center he's going to need a lot of off-season work. But Allen's performance thus far makes that highly unlikely.

No idea what AW will do that will remain an unanswered question till the last game has been played. Rams stand a very good chance to want to tie up Noteboom for a 4 yr deal. Getting Noteboom/Allen/Corbett/Shelton to resign is going to cost some serious cap funds.
Snead might be able to swing 3 of the 4 but not all four. Corbett will require the largest amount of what Snead does not have.
If AW wants to play one more season I am sure that could be arranged but he would might need to move to his original first 3 NFL seasons post @ LG with Noteboom being LT. LG Edwards can flip back to RG to offset the loss of Corbett. You keep four of the 2021 starters adding in Noteboom. Swing OT Jackson/ Swing OG Anchrum/ OC Shelton/ OT Pircher/ OG Brewer would be the reserves. If AW does retire then good chance two new starters would be needed @ LT & RG.
Carberry needs to be working on whoever that Swing OG is, so that the new OG is ready to perform.

Although they both seem to have taken a step back at RG this pre-season, Anchrum & Evans are likely still in the running to start as they now have a full year to get their act together. The one guy who has captured my interest is Jared Hocker, the late Practice Squad pick-up.
It's still too early for me to completely dismiss Corbett as his swing capability at OG/C is a valuable asset worth maintaining if we can afford him. jmo.
But.. to the actual point, I agree that there's real competition available to possibly replace Corbett.
If you have that guy surrounded by Havenstein and Allen, you're putting him in a position to succeed and they should be okay.
That's my biggest argument for prioritizing Allen and Left Tackle.

Not a prediction, just looking at the possibilities should Corbett go and we avoid another outside free agent :
LT) Noteboom, Brewer
LG) Edwards, Hocker
C) Allen, Shelton
RG) Anchrum, Hocker
RT) Havenstein, A. Jackson
9 OL on the depth chart.
2022 Draft :
I'd prioritize a LT type to compete with Brewer as our back-up to Noteboom.
We'd still need to draft a Center/OG somewhere to prepare for Shelton's eventual loss as he becomes a 2023 free agent, as will Edwards as well.

Yes, an experienced starting center for Stafford along with our backup LT Noteboom is primary.
A question can you really replace AW's 4 yr understudy in teaching & leadership in tutoring Noteboom? How can you put a price on that?
Corbett has serious value in being a swing OG & OC but if centers Allen & Shelton are secured then the early TC center practice is moot.
Anchrum was already moving away from OT into the interior OL before his knee injury. OL'er Alaric Jackson got a good measure of RG practice & game snaps during the Senior bowl week when Snead as always was in attendance.

I know most of us don't like Chris Simms but in his analysis of Bucs game, he threw some praise at Carberry and really highlighted how sound the pass protection was this year.
