Having one sure makes the margin for error bigger though. Eagles have done a phenomenal job building out the rest of that roster. If they had a league average roster and no elite QB they'd be nowhere near the big game. As it is, they have incredible depth and no elite QB and this is the result.
It is what it has always been. A team sport. The media always making it about the QB has always been wrong. Brady wins nothing without the great D he had. The big come back they had against the falcons was because the D stuffed the falcons the entire 2nd half but Brady gets all the credit. The TB SB is again because of the D.

It has always been about the entire team and how the coaches use the team strengths to compensate for the weaknesses.

Well, as far as coaches go, that was the Spags I know on display yesterday...

With how poorly the Chiefs front line played, it't time to trade Tutu for Humpheries. ~ Concerned Fan

"Vent" ? It went just the way I hoped it would go.
Did not want to see Taylor Swifts face hugging Kelce,s ugly mug or that big baby Mahomes holding that trophy.
In our first game with the Eagles I thought they looked like the Super Bowl winner to me while KC had been skating and getting lucky all season.
That said, take away a couple mental mistakes vs the Eagles 2nd game and it would have been us winning it all.
Can not wait for the draft and to see what McSnead has up their sleeves.
But, this game solidified my football 101 theory. The offensive line is the most important unit on any football team. So, we already have the making of a young and great D line.
McSnead, you know what to do !

I had issues with his first quarter of play calls, where he seemed to run it every first down. I’m also not a big fan of the QB option and keepers where you’re putting your most highly paid player at risk of an injury.

There were also bad decisions by Spags to zero blitz, which allowed for Hurts to just loft them up and let his receivers run under them.
His offense put v up 55 in the NFCCG and 40 un the SB. He made what most were calling thee best DC his play toy on the biggest stage. He was prepared and focused.

Not liking some play calls is fine but my point is the distracted narrative is silly and Moore proved it.

The way our d line was playing towards the end of the year we would have destroyed the offensive line of Kansas City.

This reminded me of the Year Denver beat Carolina in the super bowl.
Everybody was sure Carolina was going to win and Cam Newton and his other goofballs were giving fashion shows and interviews and partying.
Meanwhile, Denver was concentrating on winning the game and being coached up.

Not a vent as such, but I heard on the radio earlier that the New Orleans police had to grease all the lampposts on Bourbon Street to stop the Eagles from being able to climb them. Personally, I’d have left them ungreased.

I was surprised by the outcome of the game, but it really didn't mater to me who won either way I could enjoy one of the teams losing. A win win of sorts.

Those people in New Orleans are pole greasers from way back.

The Eagles took the refs out of the game. That made me wonder. Were the Chiefs really the best team in the AFC? They had so many calls go their way all year, playoffs included, because of Mahomes abusing the rules on hitting QBs. Their performance tonight made them look like they didn't belong in that game.

Also, considering the way the Rams beat the Bills, maybe the AFC wasn't really as stacked as most perceived it to be this year. The Lions, Eagles, and Rams, all looked better than the Chiefs.

Not saying it was lucky, but the chefs didn't look like they were deserving of a 15-2 record and #1 seeding. But somehow they managed to win something like 10 games by 1 score so they had things go their way in that department for sure. And they only outscored their opponents by 59 points, which isn't much when your team is 15-2.

They had the rules in their favor and a QB who knows how to abuse those rules. Plus an overprotective league that sees him as their cash cow
