I'm stressed about being stuck in the house with Covid and bored out of my mind. I'm stressed about paying the bills next month. Not so much about the game this Sunday but I will be pissed if we lose lol.
That puts everything in proper perspective, thank you!

For some reason I feel real calm and relaxed about this one. If we lose we lose. But I don't think we will lose.

It's gonna be an ugly scrum of a game though. 9ers will pull us down to their level with that defense and beat on us a bit. But the Rams should be able to find a way to pull it out.

SAME!!!

I've been a nervous wreck all season long. The moment after the 9er loss, I was suddenly very calm and assured that we're winning the Super Bowl.

WE'RE WINNING THE SUPER BOWL!!!

Get on board!!!

This game is gonna be won by our defense. I think our offense will be okay and have moments as well as their D.

However, I see our D scoring meaningful points in part because of Jimmy G's busted wing. That offense did NOTHING against Green Bay and if it weren't for the worst ST unit in the league, we'd be headed to GB.

Their offense is struggling and that's where we win... our D getting picks.

Calling it. This game is on our D and they will prevail!!!

I think the Defense makes a big play or two to take control of this game... sack fumble or interception... maybe both.

The 49'ers are going to come out and try to show their physical nature, but we are going to come out swinging and match that intensity. Our defense will force some mistakes and Jimmy G will accommodate.

Go Rams!

Just be emotionally ready for shitty Rams offense. This 9ers unit shut down Dallas and Green Bay in their stadiums. This is why I say it's gonna be a balance and field position game and hopefully the Rams pull away slowly and finish the job this time around.

IF the OL protections are as good as they were with Tampa the Rams will do what they did to Tampa and move the ball at will. But they still have to finish drives and this SF defense is in a nasty place.

The Rams just played the Niners & we’re kicking there AZZ!! I don’t get it.

Bosa vs Whitworth is my biggest fear because of health. He has been solid.
The Freaking 9ers pissed me off on how dirty they play The Rams.

There offense is beat up,so Inthink The Rams get after them.

My concern on defense is Greg Gaines toe injury. A”Robinson though is a stud.
I’m a huge Troy Reeder fan,but on some of those 9er runs he never got or read those running lanes.
Ernest Jones has been practicing for 2 weeks now going into his 3rd of a 21 day period. How ever that works,I’ll just say he is ready to produce.

I think the 49ers players, deep down, will come in cocky and over confident. Despite Shanahan repeating all week probably that this is a new context, etc, the players will feel like they've got this one, like the previous 6.

Last game they were more hungry than we were, bexause we were in the playoffs already.
This game is different, we have a lot of stars on this roster who know they need to step up to go get that first ring and they will.

Nervous? Of course, I am.

Excited? Yes, and way more than I was when the Rams played at New Orleans in their last NFC Championship Game.

Worried? Not worried with this Rams team. They are the best team in the NFL when they play clean ball. They are the toughest out in the NFL playoffs.

Cocky? No way, I've been humbled as a Rams fan for too many years.

Mindset? The 49ers and Rams are about to have their third fight. After their first two fights this season, the 49ers are 2-0.

First fight? 49ers knocked them out.

Second fight? 49ers won a split decision.

Third fight? We are going to find out Sunday.

Outcome? I have a feeling their third fight is going to end by a TKO or a Knockout.

Playing New Orleans in the NFC championship in 2018 was a much tougher matchup against a much better team in the worst possible environment.

Wait...I know we played each other in HS football but did we talk about our time in South Korea? I don't recall if we did and you were there just after me!

My gawd, what a really small world we live in and how our lives have paralleled each others without even knowing it!

Except it wasn't against a team that has had your number.

The Rams lost at NO earlier in the year in a game that very easily could've been a Rams win.
Yes, I was stressed about that game, but there wasn't nearly the buildup of frustration and angst connected to it.

The build up of scar tissue from past losses in big games will temper my reaction to a win, or a loss.

Only thing I'm certain of is that I have no way of knowing how this game will turn out.

SF QB is far from elite and we've shown we can bottle up their running game.

We are at home and have good (passing) weather.

Cross your fingers and fasten your seat belts.

Yea but McVay can only do so much, to your point the players have to nut up and play. Week 18 I remember three different 7-OL jumbo sets, two runs went for negative yardage, one went for one yard. How is that even possible? Another time they were in dime coverage like 3rd and 2, Stafford checked to a run play from shotgun, because they had 6 in the box. Michel got stuffed behind the line and went for loss of 1. If we get abused up front the same way we will lose this game. And that is exactly why we've lost 6 straight, getting manhandled up front.

So to me it's a dumb strategy to try and force-feed runs right into the strength of their defense. Very similar matchup to TB when it comes to running the ball, it will be tough/borderline impossible on early downs. This is a game that Stafford and the pass game needs to win. Just like the TB game. We attack their weakness which is their secondary. We throw on 1st downs, get to 2nd and manageable and mix in the run from there. But we cannot get into a dick measuring contest with Shanahan and try to out-physical them. Its just not smart. You dont attack your enemies strengths. We traded for Stafford for a reason, I say we let him win it for us. The other positive to throwing early, if we can get a big lead it might make them pass a little more and get away from running the ball 90% of the time.
Agreed. We have to throw the ball. It’s the only chance we have.

That Niners defensive front just obliterates our run game. Fred Warner is a phenomenal run stopper, not to mention their other Linebackers and their physical secondary that comes up and destroys the edges. Tartt, Mosley and even Ward are built to shut it down.

I have rewatched that week 18 game 3 times now and every time come away with the same thing. F the run. Throw the ball.

Personally I would work the short game and mix in heavy deep shots. Use the boots and play action to create time. Trust Stafford to be at his best and throw it away or dump it down if nothing is open down feild.

We need TD’s and a lead. Then we need to force Jimmy to throw it by shutting down their run. Get some points off turnovers.

We start running it and let the Niners play a close game the Niners will run the ball to victory.

Jimmy Butt Floss had a couple of near pick 6's vs Packers last week. It's not too far off thinking that opp could possibly come the Rams way this Sunday. Would be awesome any time of the game, but near the end to help seal the deal would be storybook like! (Our) Defense wins championships!

This game could exorcise a lot of organizational demons. Things that date back decades...

October 25, 1981, the 49ers win at Candlestick 20-17 on a Ray Wersching FG at the end of the game. They go on to a SB win and the beginning of a dynasty that is only matched by the B&B Patriots of '01-'19. Though the Rams would be competitive again later in the decade, the NFC CG loss on January 14, 1990 would send the franchise into a decade-long tailspin, highlighted by the likes of TJ Rubley and the "Same Old Sorry Ass Rams."

After the GSOT flamed out under Martz there would be yet another decade of utter futility.

Beating them would go a long way to finally burying all that shit.

LETS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
