Two playoff wins - of course we want it all and we "went all in"

I'll still consider the season a success no matter what else happens.

I'm been a Rams fan for a long time... I haven't forgotten what most of the past 30 plus
years has been.

I agree w that statement. Win or lose it's been a great season. But obviously let's win lol

It is hard to believe McVay doesn't look 50 with the way this team has aged the rest of us. Can we please finish the season with 2 comfortable wins? I'm not greedy, just keep a 14 pt lead through the 4th qtr.
The rams were bumbling the game away Sunday and I’m standing next to the couch cuz I can’t sit there and watch this disaster, my wife says, “you’re shaking the whole couch, calm down”.
Last night I woke up at 4 cuz I was dreaming about the niner game. I like to think I’m a reasonable guy not an insane fanatic, it’s just a game after all, right? I’ve gotta calm down.

I remember the 89 NFCCG still to this day. I’ve always wanted payback against those fools!! Hopefully the Rams can make it all right this weekend.

What really gets me is that if we lose, those Niner turds get to play and maybe hoist the Superbowl trophy in OUR stadium!

Stressed?

It hasn’t been easy, let me tell you! Back in the 70’s and 80’s I would carry around a loss for a long time especially in the playoffs against the Vikings, Cowboys and then the Steelers in SB XIV. Really tough back then.

The 90’s there was no problem with losing, that’s all we did back then.

The 99 Cinderella season culminating with a SB XXXIV win should have been more enjoyable but in true RAM fashion they couldn’t put the Titans away. Should have been a blowout win.

SB XXXVI loss was tough to watch, the better team loss that day therefore kick starting TB12’s career. Martz kept us relevant for a few more years but then came a 12 year drought, again losing became the norm.

The hiring of coach McVay has been a God send, putting this team back on the radar. SB LIII stung, we were right there but Goff and Cooks couldn’t hook up and the 2nd half belonged to the PATS. Last year sucked, RAMS just couldn’t put together a 2nd half comeback against GB.

This season has been a roller-coaster of emotions for me, Sunday being the pinnacle of a stressful season. So yeah, like I said with the first four words of this stupid post…It hasn’t been easy!

FWIW after this game I informed my wife for my obituary or acknowledgement or what ever they are going to call it, do not communicate that I was an avid sports fan, just write that the Los Angeles Rams were an obsession.

I can sleep fine, never really a problem there. Stress week, not anything highly abnormal. I'm more attentive to Ram news and stuff for sure going this deep into the playoffs.

Every game I hope for the best and expect the worst to deal with any stress. Plus I have a backup plan, something to keep me busy if the season should end.

Wouldn't it be cool to win it all this year and then knock his ass out of the playoffs a couple more years in succession? Payback MFer.

Yes it is stressful. Especially as you have no control over the result - all you can do is cheer hard for your team.

I've been in this situation before with my local Australian Rules team... In 2013 leading in to the AFL Preliminary Final (the game to get into the Grand Final), much the same as the NFC Championship is to get into the Super Bowl - my team the Hawthorn Hawks had lost 13 straight against the Geelong Cats - they just had our measure, most games were close and Hawthorn would always find a way to lose it -- it was like a curse.

Down by 21 points at three quarter time - I had given up - the Hawks hadn't, they dug deep and finally buried the curse ... and then went on to win the next three AFL Grand Finals.

I am confident the Rams can do the same come Sunday.

GO RAMS !!!!!!!

I don't know which poster it was, but someone here recently posted that during a stressful Rams game the wife took him aside for a boink-fest and by the time they were done with said boinkery, the game was over and the Rams had won. So whoever that is, please have your wife ready and rarin' to go, and if things start to go south, get busy.

Hard not to be nervous man, we all are. We don't match up well we all know that. They are built to run the ball and not pass... we are built to stop the pass and not the run. They are built to shut down the run and rush the passer. We like to run the ball to set up the pass.

On paper it's a ridiculously tough matchup and that is before the Shanahan/McVay dynamic. Not to mention SoFi being filled half with red jerseys making us use a silent count on offense in our home stadium.

But if we want to win the Super Bowl we will need to get this monkey off our back. If we cant beat them once when it really, really, really counts... then we don't deserve to make it to the Super Bowl.

A few weeks ago we had them beat, but failed to finish the job. I have a hunch we take our game to another level and get it done this time when we absolutely must.

I'm stressed about being stuck in the house with Covid and bored out of my mind. I'm stressed about paying the bills next month. Not so much about the game this Sunday but I will be pissed if we lose lol.

This. Players gotta nut up. It's on them to win those matchups.

As I mentioned before there are so many players I like and respect on this roster that the end result is something I'm gonna feel more than normal. So it has to be a win. Losing this one would be 100x more painful than a typical NFCC loss.

Hoping that McVay throws a monkey wrench in here with 12 sets and heavy fronts and duo on the interior. Give Allen the help he needs with a double and move that DL out to give Akers/Michel a seam. And use Akers on the fucking jet sweeps ffs.

I agree but would also like to see Rams' fans 'nut-up' this week.

Would be nice if the Rams' offense does not have to go with a silent-count at home this Sunday.

Being stuck here in whiner country is goona suck if we lose. I told my boss this morning that we better not lose, I would rather have list to tampon and Brady last week then lose to the whiners this week.
