Was hoping I was wrong...

It is the perfect situation for him. He has a game-changing pass rusher (Bosa), a stud safety (James), and a legit #1 CB (Hayward) to build around on defense, and he has a franchise QB on offense. Plus, he doesn't have to move his family, the Chargers have the cap room to sign some FAs, and they have picks.

The one big issue the Chargers have is the OL. Their OL wasn't good last year, and most of them are FAs. He's going to need to hire a great OL Coach and rebuild that unit. Might be a good spot for us to trade Noteboom.

If we can only keep our assistant coaches one year how can we expect to win?

Staley is a huge loss. Super disappointed. I knew he would go to the Chargers, though.

That's where the money and picks come in and we all know he will also be raiding some of our players. And why it's a punch to the gut is... let's say JJ wanted to give a hometown discount or Floyd or anyone well now they don't have to cause they can stay right where they are just a different uniform. Was a bad idea to bring the chargers to LA and even worse to take their money every month. Get that cheap fuck spanos out and make him build his own stadium elsewhere. This won't sit well with Kronke. And if Kronke wants to make a splash then he damn well better get on that phone with McSnead and give his blessing "get us Watson I don't care how or what it takes and get what you can for Goff asap!!!!" Lolol

I don't think it changes anything with JJ and Floyd, personally. Don't think we were going to be able to keep either this off-season.

Losing Brad Holmes (major advocate for drafting Fuller and bringing in D Will) and Staley feels like a gut punch...

Good riddance. I bet that asshole spent all of last week preparing for his interviews with the Squatters and other teams, and not preparing for our game. You know, the one where we gave up 32 points? Fuck Staley.

Oh, and they should have to give us a draft pick.

The biggest issue with coaching the Renters is exorcising the ghost of Marty. Since they fired him after a 12-4 season they haven't been able to stay healthy ever at all never happened. If Staley can beat that he has a chance. But yes that OL needs even more of an upgrade than ours does.

Depends how the offseason unfolds but my point is if there was even a slither of hope it probably vanished if Staley wants any of them. Especially since the chargers are a very good team it's a no brainer.

To those who are wishing him the best, you're better people than me. Only because he's with the chargers I hope he fails miserably. Nothing personal against him, but I never want the chargers to be successful. Whatever happens with him, I hope the chargers are terrible in all three phases at historic levels.

I do think this hire is a slap in the face to the Rams.

I also think him going to be a head coach is a bit fast. I think teams should have given him another year to prove that he is consistent. I don't even remember anyone saying that he would be a head coach someday before this great year he has.

With the Chargers, it would be wise to keep Pep in the building for the Justin Herbert. He might take someone from the Broncos or Bears defensive staff to be his DC. We will see

Obviously it was more important for him to be prepared for his interview than have our defense prepared. Teams shouldn't be allowed to interview coaches until their season is OVER. And stop being a prick.
Go back to reddit where you belong! hahahaha

Clearly an unhealthy AD standing on the sidelines against the league MVP and #1 offense had some affect on the outcome of the game. My God are you serious shitting on this guy for that game?

I somewhat agree on the latter point. But our defensive issues weren't due to him not being prepared or the defense not being prepared. Without Aaron Donald being his usual self, the Packers OL simply dominated. When your front is getting worked in the trenches, your options tend to be limited. Injuries bit us at the worst time.

Barring a few dropped passes and Lafleur not burning clock at the end Staley's top defense would have given up a 50 burger.

I personally wasn't a huge fan. He had some ideas that worked well but nothing that can't be duplicated.

His inability to adjust when the front 4 couldn't get pressure cost us games.

Not every team has an Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey.
