He is not two 1st round picks better than Goff. I know Goff has been terrible but it is not like Detroit has an experienced coaching staff.

He escapes and throws a 5 yard loss to Henderson thow it in the ground.

The overthrows, the throw behind the receivers, the deep shot to OBJ where he can clearly see 2 DBs back there.

We are down by 17 and he is throwing 2 yard outs. Really bad decision making.

I am seriously worried that he doesn't have the mental makeup to lead us to the SB. I am really serious. The goal is to make the fewest mistakes he seems to panic a little. It's not McVay McVay didn't overthrow Skoronick in the end zone who was open, he overthrew Skoronick over the middle and it was almost picked. I could go on and on.

If he was so good and such a savior he would have lead Detroit to more playoff appearances. Rivers did, Brees did etc. These are QBs with huge resumes like Stafford but they are more poised and don't make these type of mistakes.

I made the same statement when he was acquired. I was open minded and hopeful, but after the last two games he really is long term scaring me. Hope I am wrong he is too streaky and not a winner imo. I don't care how many come from behind wins he has he has no playoff wins.

I believe it is a panic mentality. Not a winner mentality.
It wasn't Stafford who dropped a easy pass that led to the niners second touchdown. It wasn't Stafford that dropped easy back to back 3rd down passes. It wasn't Stafford that dropped TD pass he placed perfectly over defender into Van's bread basket.

Most successful Super Bowl winning team have a synthesis of complimenting a QBs instincts/skills with safeguards. Last year the Bucs ran the ball just as well as they threw. The Eagles also went into the SB aggressively running the ball, and using their TEs for checkdowns. The Patriots never really asked Tom to light up defenses with crazy numbers, as once again, they could check down and beat defenses with death by a thousand cuts.

Its been said on here before, but the problem is McVay has handed the reigns completely to Stafford. Opting to give him less structure and scripted play calls. That has to to stop TODAY.

I love Staffords time in LA so far but he IS NOT THAT GUY. Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning are the only QBs in modern NFL history who can be trusted to 100% run the offense and even Rodgers has shown a tendency to be risk averse when left to his own devices. Mahomes might be the most gifted QB in NFL history and even he cant be trusted to singlehandedly orchestrate. He has to be reigned in. Even Tom, for all his success, never had the physical gifts to 100% call a game. His success in NE was due to his quick release and the Pats scripted around that.

Mcvay has to STOP with this one man offense philosophy with stafford. Run the ball, hit the checkdown and live to fight another day.

Not Stafford's fault but it is the nature of the offense. Trick/gadget plays always seem to have more turnovers. Who runs a screen to the TE? Nobody except us. That stuff belongs at the college level.
The 9ers attempted a screen to the TE tonight and I'm pretty sure KC runs them frequently. The bubble screen with the DBs in press coverage is stupid and Stafford should know better.

Stafford sucked ass tonight. He wasn't as bad as he was last week, and there were some drops that hurt him, but he was still inexcusably bad.

The entire team played like crap tonight. The D let them march down the field twice in the 1st half both drives over 90 yrds and ate up almost all the time for the entire half. McVay was impatient, but can you blame him when the D shows no ability to get a stop?

There are only 2 people that deserve some time off during the bye Morris and the ST coordinator. They can both take the rest of the season off, they wont get anything accomplished anyways.

It was Stafford who was throwing behind and over the heads of WRs all night. It was Stafford who threw the ball out of the end zone on 4th down despite having Van Jefferson open. It was Stafford who threw the ball over Skowronek's head multiple times. It was Stafford who had multiple interceptions dropped because of poor decisions and inaccurate throws. The guy looked like a rookie tonight.

26-41 and 5 of those were drops
(Higbee 2, Jefferson2, Kupp) throw in 4 or 5 passes throwing the ball away

Kupp's drop and Jefferson's first drop were both on inaccurate throws. Stafford sucked tonight.

he played the same way with Detroit. Streaky. Padded his stats in garbage time. Goff was a convenient scapegoat. Its McVays finesse pass first and pass second and pass third philosophy. 8 runs all game. 8! Fuck that shit man. Im getting fed up with that shit. Morris needs to go! Light a fire under this team McVay

I think Stafford's back is hurting him more than he is letting on.

The last two games he has frequently been throwing behind the receiver.

He wasn't doing that in the first 8 games

It's John Hadl all over again. 48 years on and we have another QB start off the season on fire only to have a back injury derail our entire season.

Stats are for losers. He missed a lot of throws tonight and made some poor decisions just like last week. Lucky he didn't have at least one more pick.

He did make a lot of high throws tonight but stats are also facts of what happened you can argue against them all you want but they are still facts

And that was one of the things that concerned me about the trade.

He had a back injury a couple years ago and I was worried it would flare up again.

I hope he takes the two weeks off to heal up properly.

It was up to the defense to step up after the Rams lost their best receiver to give the offense some time to jell. The Defense failed. I'm not impressed with Morris at all.
