I just hope Stan & Co. don't price me out of the joint. This season was $2500. I can hang with that. If there are PSLs on top of a substantial ticket increase... I don't know...

I wonder if the glass roof, or whatever it is, will affect the oculus screen, like sunglare on a tv

I'm more concerned with coming out of there like a rotisserie chicken! If the sunlight isn't filtered by the roof it could get kinda hot in the late summer/early fall...

They’re using that roof material because it filters out the uv Rey’s and heat. That also means it won’t be a natural grass surface.

You won't be dead! Stahp!! The football Gods demand consume a beer tribute to dedicate the stadium to future Championships!!!! muahahahah

p.s. I'd expect the beers won't be more than the $18 tall boys we pay for at USC venue... :( I asked the guy twice how much it was when I first went to get a beer in the stadium! :( Hot ASF that day! lol

I dislike the oculus type scoreboards. Dallas did it right IMO.

I think Dallas totally fucked up.
It’s just too big. Nobody’s Looking at the field. Have two boys fan friends who verified that.

Sorry boys- gonna’ have to be a bit snarky here.

Do you really think you know more about architecture than the firm hired to do a $2 billion dollar stadium.

The arrogance of the ignorant is astounding sometimes.

Absolutely no disrespect intended, but when was the last time you second guessed a brain surgeon?

You could play that game with every single opinion offered here on this board Vegas. But why? Isn't that the point of us coming here, to talk some ball... as fans?

that screen looks like it's gonna be irritating as freak for the people in the upper decks. it will be in their line of sight when they look at the field. unless the pictures have the scaling all wrong.

.

I noticed that too. Got to think the distance from the seats to screen will be enough to see the field. From the picture it looks close.

Two home teams means the stadium gets paid off twice as fast, and should (in theory) keep ticket prices lower.

Actually, no I can’t. Because I’m not as intelligent football wise as most other posters on this site. And it wasn’t about ‘ball’
What I CAN do, is comment on something I know.

Besides, I apologized beforehand. :boxing::grouphug:

The stadium will be unfuckingbelievable.

Btw@ Merlin, I hope we can watch a game together before you head to Missouri.

That’s the dartboard in my garage.
Nowhere near as cool as your man cave though.

Architect = brain surgeon??? wow, thanks man!!! lol I is a arkitek. I've been paying some attention to the design / construction, it's going to be fantastic. The roof material, ETFE, is a great new material, kinda like transparent membrane roofing. It will let in lots of light but not lots of heat. MN's stadium uses lots of it.
The oculus does look like it's double-sided from the video (the renderings showed them blank on the outside), and it looks sized perfectly for upper decks to get a good zoomed in view of the field but not overpower their vision like Jerruh's world. (it won't block any punts either lol)
As architects we do our best but some things we innovate don't always turn out as envisioned or have unexpected outcomes, like the player's tunnel at the new Minnesota stadium, which was routed through lower level club / dining areas so people could feel up-close with the players. however, we all remember what happened when AP had his gruesome knee injury - injured players go back through the same areas, screaming sometimes. Not good PR.
The Jerruh's world jumbotron also comes to mind.
I do have some concerns about cross ventilation in this space, especially as LA weather has stagnant periods. There's ways to combat this with powered exhaust louvers but I'm a bit concerned that comfort levels may not be great in here. It'll be much better than the Coliseum in late fall no doubt. That long down-ramp to field level would be a great place to pull air through, like they do in mountain pass tunnels, & take advantage of the cave-like conditions.

Ahhhh... the million dollar question.

How much will the price increase? Kroenke don't do nuthin' unless there's plenty of jack in it for him.
