Oh I get it. They are complicit and their whole life is lived with an asterisk.

The truth shall set you free!

Unfortunately, I think we are going to see an outbreak of guys from that organization developing stomach cancers in the next couple decades. Living a lie can cause a lot of stress in the body.
IMHO an asterisk isn't justified. The asterisk denoted a record that was broken fairly. That isn't the case with the Cheatriots. That Lombardi needs to be awarded to the Rams.

"can't remember his name" is Ernie Adams. I honestly starting to believe he's some kind of "fixer" for Bellicheat & the Cheatriots. SOMEONE is feeding him films & videos on opponents for him to find "tells", but now I'm starting to think he's the guy ORCHESTRATING THE WHOLE THING.
In the Jay Glazer clip he mentions the video was given to NFL security -- are there any actual rules or restrictions on teams scouting opponents? in fact, how in the world do the Cheatriots get away with crap every year & not get serious discipline?? Losing draft picks just isn't enough. They've got to have some NCAA-level fines & penalties -- how about being banned from playoff contention for 4 years? Loss of revenue? and some accountability & demonstration that they've stopped cheating or they get another 2 year ban from playoffs?
I think they should be banned from the playoffs STARTING THIS YEAR just for that video & their long history of cheating. Give the AFC East to Buffalo. Then gut their scouting department, starting with Mr. Adams who gets a lifetime NFL organization ban.

I am wondering if only a few key personnel knew and told everyone that they watched film of Rams games to determine their tendencies.

If I was another player who was not in the know, I probably would have believed those other players because they were smarter football players and they were doing it all year. I would say only 1 or 2 players on defense needed to be in the know.

Terrell Buckley was a street free agent just signed before the Superbowl. On those new plays that Marts designed, Buckley would get to the spot where the ball was to be thrown, before the receiver would. No guy coming off the street is that good against one of the greatest offenses in league history without cheating.

No one other than belicheat and his guy “can’t remember his name” that broke down the film and provided bilicheat with the info.

That’s easy to keep in house.

Ernie Adams. He's not a football guru. He has a photographic memory. He watches tapes of sidelines and matches signals with substitutions and plays. Then he gets a direct feed into Belicheat's headset at g a me time. So the sole purpose of having him on staff is to aid in the cheating process.

What started out as innocent "filming a scout" has turned into ANOTHER black eye for the Patriots.

IMO the punishment has to be draconian.

If this can be traced back to BB he should be banned. And there should be plenty of other punishment doled out. Any coaches involved should also be banned. Post season bans, salary cap penalties, forfeited draft picks and things that will hurt the franchise. Fining Kraft isn't a big hit for him because the maximum fine the NFL can levy is 2MIL and his net worth is about 7BIL.

So the league has to find other ways to punish them.

It's always the Patriots. Belichick's started the cheating against the GSOT and he never stopped. Hope Goodell finally makes an example out of him.

Since this has become a "pattern" of non stop cheating, they need to throw the book at the Patriots this time! Enough is Enough!

Yup. It will be hard to prove who it goes up to, of course. But cost them multiple draft picks at the very least. Perhaps a loss of eligibility for comp picks for a few seasons (and maybe a reduction of eligibility the first year they are eligible at all). And a reduction in their salary cap (which would end up being given to the other three teams since the cap total is a CBA issue). So for example, if they lost $3.1 million in cap room, every other team would have $100k in additional cap room. Continue that for a few years (without access to comp picks) and that should hurt them - the exact amount depending on how many picks are lost and how much cap space is lost. By the time it ends Belichick will be too old, along with Brady. They won't take away Super Bowls, of course - we have seen that already.

What discipline can they give them? They've won 6 superbowls and been to 9 of them.

They had the chance to stop them 13 years ago by taking away their 3 championships because of their systematic cheating to win them. But instead they covered it up, gave them some limp punishment and told them not to do it again. That's when the cheats knew they had the green light to do whatever the fuck they wanted.

I'd take their first and second round picks for 2020 and 2021. That should send a message.

On a side note with the cheaters...

I heard this on local talk radio here yesterday. Apparently, there is a push down in South Florida to charge bobby kraft-whack-n-cheese with a felony for his rub n tug shit from last year. God that would be so enjoyable to see if they decide to do it.

I don't believe they have a 2020 2'nd after the Sanu trade.

Just stretch Kraft, Mussolini style. Then deflate Brady.

If this is what we think it is that isn't NEARLY enough.

If this is what it now looks like the punishment needs to cripple the team for at least 5 years. At
least.

Large cap penalties, draft penalties, FA signing restrictions and more.

It needs to be devastating.

Yeah that won't happen cuz there are a million rub-n-tugs in FL and it's barely a misdemeanor.

Fortunately, my suggestions were modular. $3.1 million in cap space was chosen just to make the math easy, but could be increased, and run over several seasons. Picks lost and the DQ from comp picks could be done over several seasons too. I doubt they will use such high punishments over 5 years - that would open too many questions that the NFL would much rather avoid. But a few seasons of losing some picks, some cap space, and being ineligible for comp picks would hurt their being able to compete significantly, especially since Brady and his willingness to get under the table benefits will be gone soon, and likely sooner if they are being forced to lose much roster depth. But it's not going to be a death penalty level punishment since that would require the NFL to admit they've been repeatedly lenient - and they do not want to do that.

So it seems that MLB is about to levy an historic punishment on the Astros.

If they do it before the NFL punishes the Pats, there will be tremendous pressure to keep up and protect the shield.

I think with the tweet that came out yesterday iirc, either the NFL is prepared to do just that including at least a 1 year ban for Belichick and draft picks or are content with being “sports entertainment” and throwing out window dressing with a lot of NLP lingo to gaslight the fans...

But it will be interesting if the Astros get punished first...

They're gonna stick with the sports entertainment route. Why stop now?

I'll be surprised if the sackless Goodall makes an announcement prior to the Super Bowl, he won't want to tarnish the image until it's off the front page.
