.......... " Les Snead. IMO he is not disciplined enough with keeping an eye on the future"........

Yes my big issues with Snead since 2012 have been in this specific working element of how he operates. (n):(.

It would seem that Snead is highly confident to the point of being over confident in being able to wheal & deal himself out of troubles that the Ram team gets itself into. At this point in time I am still hopeful that he can pull a miracle out of his perfect hairstyle.

Well done on bringing this out into the conversations.

Did you watch any of the games Ramsey played in horns?

Or do you just roll in here to bitch and complain?

You. Me. Season ticket locations to see who's providing more financial support on this team. Now.

In other words, go sit in the corner. I'm allowed to call a spade a spade.

To be clear, my problem isn't even necessarily with all the wheeling and dealing (though going four damn years without a 1st round pick is ridiculous). It's that they blew their wad right after the relo in the frigging trash heap and, right as the shiny new one opens up, it's sorry guys, time to rebuild. They could have limped us to one more attempt so the 1st year in the palace would be memorable. SHOULD have, given that no matter how bad we are next year, it doesn't matter because Jacksonville gets our pick. A frigging 5 year old could figure out that you don't pick a year in which you have sacrificed draft capital to be your rebuilding year. Restructure Goff. Restructure Donald. Restructure Gurley. Restructure Cooks and probably Hekker (and extend him while you're at it), you've got enough cap space to make one more run. Teams do it all the time.

I haven't liked some of the recent personnel moves but McVay has a winning record largely because he can look at a roster and see where it needs strengthening.

He bolstered the WR and OL upon arrival and we make the playoffs.

Added DL talent the following year and we make the SB.

Last year was a step back but we still hammered playoff bound Seattle and should have beat the SB loser, at their place, in a late season game while ending the season with a winning record.

There is no better alternative to McVay and if he wants Snead around (or not) that is his call.

Have you seen Ramsey play in Horns or not?
Or do you just “pop in” to bitch and call spades spades?

And at what cost? That’s the thing. Regardless of how Ramsey plays he will want to be top dollar. That’s the cat he is. So next year to satisfy his demands we m ay nheed to eject just and krupp

It's cute how you try to anoint yourself the arbiter of what can be discussed or not, or on what terms. I hate to shatter the mirror for you, but that's not how the internet works.

Fact of the matter is, it was a controversial move when it was made, it looks like a terrible move now given how it's put the team's back against the wall, and questioning each and every facet of that move is on the table. Given that you didn't take me up on my challenge, I'm going to go ahead and assume you don't have nearly the vested financial interest in the team's well being that I have, which puts you on hind foot there, as well.

Reality is, we didn't need to make that move last year. The way Peters did a 180 the moment he landed in Baltimore shows that we already had the talent back there, the issue was coaching and scheming. And even if we did want to make that move, we were the only bidders for Ramsey and overpaid. And even if Jacksonville tried to hang on, we could have gotten on-par talent for much less (see what the Steelers gave up for Fitzpatrick - a different position, sure, but we could have gotten him for a lot less than Ramsey, kept Peters, and been better off (especially since Weddle retired). There were a couple other corners we could have run at too, if we were really so desperate for that - none of whom would have cost 2 1st rounders and the potential of having to tag at the end of this season. On top of ALL that, secondary wasn't even our biggest problem on that side of the ball - linebacker was. And is now a glaring f'ing hole this year with our FA losses.

I just asked a question.
One you seem reluctant to answer.
It’s obvious why you won’t.
Good night now

Interesting how you insist how a players performance on the field has no place in this conversation.

Mind boggling

Peters is a zone CB, we needed a guy who could play man/press coverage, and Ramsey is as good as anyone in the league. And he made a big impact on our D. We had 13 sacks in the 6 games prior to his arrival (2.16 average per game), that jumped up to 37 sacks in the last 10 games (3.7 per game).

they're like fucking cockroaches. y'know, like when you turn the light on and they all begin to scatter.

the first day of free agency was the turning on the light part.

What does your "financial support" have to do with this topic?
Hopefully you dont think because you buy tickets means your opinion is higher than someone who doesn't.
I hope that's not the case.

I’ve never been challenged to a “ticket off” before in my life :D

But I’d definitely lose though cause we were pretty poor growing up and all we could afford was those shitty endzone seats at Anaheim stadium by the band. There was a lot of action down in the pits though. And we always had a good view of the fire baton twirler and the frisbee dog!!!! Does that count?

As long as Ramsey ends up signing with us long term and we don't end up cutting or trading him midway through his contract I'll continue to support trading 2 1st for him. We have the best player in the NFL on our DL and the best CB in the NFL on the same defense. Hard to pass that up imo. Build around those guys with players that Staley likes. All of our receivers will be back unless Cooks is traded but Reynolds is good too. Higbee is coming on and Mcvay is finally using more 12 personnel along with getting o'Connell to help out. Henderson could break out in his second year with a new RBs coach. OL gets another offseason together to gel better. ST seems to be the biggest question mark heading into the new season with a new ST coach along with not having a K. Overall im not too concerned and I expect us to remain competitive. I don't know if we go to or win superbowl or even the division for that matter but as of right now this team has potential go 10-6. Just my opinion.

He played extremely well
We gave up two first rounders for a corner
Move on
yeah but we also gave a 4th rounder and 20 mil in cap space. I guess if we do not agree with you we should just move on. if we all have to be so optimistic that we can't even have a debate on things it could be a very boring

You can do whatever you want man. If you want to fester on useless hypotheticals be my guest

I was actually responding to the statement that you “can’t use 2 first round picks on a CB” — and I simply pointed out we in fact did pay 2 1sts for a CB. Feel free to read the post I was commenting on. Or not.
