Agreed. Only thing to keep in mind with the Colts is how good that OL is making everyone look lol. From the backs to even their two young QBs. :clinkingbeer:

Colts have a good stable of backs. Mack coming back from Achilles and three other young guys taking snaps. Anderson looked great in that film.
He does seem like a good fit though doesn't he. Does kick returns too. Seems like the guy McVay would like with the speed and smooth run style.

While I'm not against bringing in a vet RB. It really isn't a need yet.

RB is the easiest position to play in the NFL. It truly is a plug and play position. James Robinson went undrafted last year and now he's in the top NFL 100. Raheem Mostert is anouther undrafted RB who has performed really well of late. I think we'll be fine with Hendo, Funk and Jones. However, if they any of them get hurt significantly depth does become a issue.

You have to listen to the interview that was on the radio broadcast after the game. Not the press conference.
They asked him specifically about Funk and Jones.
Is there a link to this or any information to confirm this? I'm surprised that there isn't a story or even a mention about this.
He was asked specifically about Funk and Jones in the press conference too

It’s on the Rams Wire and it’s in one of the threads on here.

I haven't seen anything on ramswire that quotes McVay saying "Funk has separated himself from Jones".

I did read this
I saw a lot from Funk. I thought he did a good job,” McVay said after the game. “I thought Xavier (Jones) made a couple plays. You saw him catch a couple of passes and be able to create a little bit. But I really felt Funk tonight. I thought he did a great job being able to create some explosive runs, one from the dot, one from the offset gun. But, it was good to see those guys make plays.

Which is exactly what I posted in this very thread. The article goes on to say that Funk made a good case himself, but that's not coming from the coaches mouth.

Obviously you need black & white. The majority see his review of Funk as a tell on positioning.

I don't know where to find it. But, it was on the radio post game show interview after the game.

Jones didn't get mentioned by McVay until the press conference.

Well the discussion is what was actually said and not inferred, so yeah black & white. Memphis states and stands by it that McVay did infact say it, and it wasn't the quote from ramswire that you're reading into. Thanks for playing though:beer2:

@shovelpass sadly we are stuck with a RB debate over back ups. I miss the we need a center debate…
It's not a debate over backups, I have no issue with ordering. I think both will play a good amount because both have flaws and fufill a different role

All I wanted was the quote, Memphis can't find it, which fine. Then there was a misunderstanding between you and i. All good

The Texans of all teams are stacked at RB (4 deep) maybe we can work out a trade with them because they have all kinds of holes to fill.

Man, I wish Bill O'Brien was still running that team. Les could probably get them to trade their best RB to the Rams for an 8th round pick in 2031.
