There are some Seahawks fans who are being reasonable about our recent signings, but a lot of them are just assholes. I lurk their boards often enough and most of them always talked about how the Rams would be formidable if they got rid of Bradford and brought in a solid QB. Now that the Rams have done that, their reaction is "meh" "not scared." God, I hate that fan base. That is exactly why I rooted against them in the Superbowl.

Rams defense is going to eat Seattle next year. Fans can talk all the smack they want, but let's see how many receptions their new TE gets when their QB is on his ass.

Bring it on! Can't wait to see Williams' defense in year two. Great things on the horizon dudes.

If we don't score more than 21 points a game, Fairley won't matter. If we don't fix the online Foles will join Bradford on the "What could have been list."

So some of them aren't too off base. Most are dumb as posts, but a few make goods points from time to time

If Fairley gets a couple sacks or causes a couple sacks in each Seattle game this year, then it will all be worth it.

True, but some of them are posting as if we are done with FA and the draft and are just gonna roll into training camp with missing pieces to the O-line.

The funny thing about fans is that they make no sense sometimes.

In the last few years I've visited several boards of our division rivals, and about 75% of them liked to spout off about how the Rams have a good DLine but will never amount to anything as long as Bradford is the QB.

So Bradford gets traded and now Nick Foles sucks. Or Jeff Fisher is "now" the problem. Lol. Fans are just insecure half the time i think. Objectivity is a lost art on message boards.
:coach:
So yeah, I can't wait to stick it to the entire division this year and have them all scratching their heads like "How could this could have happened?"
They're all fucktards. Fuck the 12th man, fuck the Titanic sinking in the Bay area and fuck the fatass in Phoenix with the stupid hat.

Seattle has their secondary, San fran Has (had) their LB'S, I say feed our beast.
Our d line could win us a bunch of games this year if we can just be a little better on offense, we shall see.

I worry though that there are too many ways to negate a great D-line....like holding them. The refs don't call it against us so teams do it with impunity. We saw that a lot early last year and as a result "sack city" became no sack city....

Strength in depth is a good thing for the d-line, I like the pick up. You don't want any drop in level of play from your rotational guys, and I think having a vet rotational guy is worth more than a draftee. Game smarts etc ;)

BUT...

The 'hawks fans are right in saying that we have more pressing needs at other parts of our game, especially our O-line.

I'm not too worried about our secondary, the ball may not get to them with our front defensive line - IF they hit the ground running next season.

"Not to be too on the nose about it, but as the fans of other NFC West teams, heck, I think we should be ROOTING for the Rams to give a big deal to Fairley. That's money that they're not spending at OLB, Safety, WR, OG, etc."

You can't totally dismiss his logic. When I coach my athletes, there comes a point where you no longer need to worry about increasing your 500lb bench press if you can only squat 100lbs.

This poster does have a point regarding allocation of resources. Yes, we have made our already impressive D-Line better, but have we improved our team in the process? Have we hindered it? etc. etc. All too early to tell for now. Free agency is still ticking along and the draft is on the horizon, so we shall see. I for one am liking the moves the front office is making. You can almost feel the urgency in this do or die year for them. Should be a very exciting season.

It's all basic child psychology. If the typical sports fan of an opposing team is making noises like, "I ain't afraid of Fairley." or "Nick Foles sucks." or whatever, it is a sure sign that they believe that the exact opposite is true. Why would they be all over the news about Fairley and Foles if they were not negatively interested (read that: concerned, alarmed, terrified!, scared shitless!!!)?

We still need to complete the OL makeover because that is the only real difference between us competing with the 'Hawks and road-grading their defense into the dirt. 'Frisco fans have nothing to talk about these days. Sir Arians will never say anything against the Horns after we get true with them next season.

It's time to return to ruling our division with lowered bighorns and charging hooves!!!

That super bowl was absolute shit! It was like either rooting for getting a nice case of HIV or Hepatitis.... Either way you lose.

Well, in FA you spend good money on good players. If there are not high quality players at your need position you still don't go throw money at those sub par players to spend your cap.

Its a strong OL draft, so if you can get a better player, a younger player, and a cheaper player on the draft then that's where you get your OL help. Sure, they will add a vet stop gap OG and likely bring back Barksdale, but you can't spend a bunch of cap space on your OL if the quality is not there.

Seattle fans are overlooking that if the Rams only have one major injury on the Dline then the talent drops off precipitously. Now with Fairley in the fold it wont be so bad if that happens.
