Game Day Thread

The GDT is a live thread tradition here at ROD.

While we all get fired up watching the game, please remember our core principles; we always show respect for our team and each other.

Despite the emotional highs and lows watching a game, we will moderate this thread with that in mind, however please refrain from name calling. This applies to players, the Rams organization, and each other.

This is the core rule of the GDT. Moderators are tasked to issue thread bans, at a minimum, to maintain this standard.

This is our team. Win or lose. Good days and bad. We are here for FUN, not to be dragged down.

A more loosely moderated atmosphere can be found in the chat room.

Go Rams!

There are a good percentage of Ram fans who worry (or fear) Seattle is going to be extremely tough. I believe they are a very good team, one of the most improved in the NFL. A good percentage of Ram fans worry about Sam Darnold being so good. I believe he looked as good if not better last year. But if we're going to go by how they look right now coupled with how much they've improved and how good their QB is playing I don't know how any Ram fan can be worried. The Rams are playing perhaps the best in the NFL right now; they improved exponentially from last year; and their QB is the front runner for the MVP. Come on guys, show that good percentage of Ram fans how good you really are. Control the game from the get go. Rams 31-17.

The Rams are home and should win. I will pray to the football God's for them to win decisively, just like last week. How sweet it is. Enjoy people... it almost feels like the GSOT days. Go Rams!!

Have we evicerated the 'Hawks yet? We need to keep that Super Bowl momentum acceleration going, all the way to the presentation of the Lombardi Trophy to US, naturally. :fistbump1:

I'm worried about the SheCocks defense against our 13 personnel. Nick Emmanwori seems to be a very good counter punch to it since he has LB size out there and crazy athleticism to stay with our TE's. That said, he's a rookie and can be had. I assume McVay will adjust if they are handling the 13 look well.

Certainly our toughest match up outside of the Colts this season.

Really wish I was there :(

LFG RAMS!

Count me in as a Rams fans that think this will be a very tough game.

I still think the Rams win. Better QB. Better coach. Better defensive line. That usually translates to W.

But Adams is gimpy. Turner is gimpy. There is zero way our CBs can cover their WRs IMO, and particularly JSN, if we don't get pressure - and our defensive line is far from playing their best football right now in terms of getting to the QB. We had 0 sacks vs. SF, and what felt like 0 pressure to me, but apparently we did have a grand total of 1 pressure. I'd like to see the replay of it - because I suspect it was generously scored, nobody was ever even close to Mac Jones. Darnold is a QB you can rattle, we saw that with Minnesota last year in the playoffs, but Seattle's o-line even if exploitable is better than what the Vikings trotted out last year and doubly so once Minny had LT injuries. Their team speed is terrific. And rest assured they will have some plays drawn up for Shaheed this week who I sneak is a very good addition that somehow is getting no attention. Kupp is maybe thier WR4 now, which is ridiculous. They have two very capable RBs, even though their running game has been underwhelming. They're well coached.

I think Seattle's roster is about as good as anyone's in the NFC. Rams, Seahawks, Eagles, and Lions are all roughly equal. But I think LA's odds best, given the QB and coaching advantage vs. all of those teams.

This will be a really tough contest IMO.

Other than the next two games against the rams, Seattle has a very easy schedule and could easily win out. In saying that its important to show the NFL whos house they're gonna have to go through to get to the SB. Its one of those games.

It's going to be a battle no matter how you look at each team on paper.

If McVay is on his game, calling a good mix of plays, things should go well for the Rams. The Rams need a better pass rush than last week to keep Arnold nervous throughout the game. Turnovers could be the key to winning or losing. Blah, blah blah............OK I'll watch and hope the Rams win. It's going to be as close to a playoff game as you can have in the regular season.

One concern is Adams but he's slated to play though, so it's an eyeball test as to how healthy he is. I'm hanging my hat on the Ram defense. They've heard all week about the Seattle Defense, so I think this Ram D' is gonna make their own statement today!!!

RAM STATEMENT DAY TODAY FOLKS...LET'S DO THIS!!!
