No offense to Seattle, but we pretty much had their number in pretty much the same way the Niners used to have ours. I guess it's good to have him out of the NFC though.

But Seattle had the Niners number. This means two wins for the Niners that they didn’t automatically have.

People say the Rams gave up too much for Stafford! Denver gave up the bank for Wilson. But the same media that criticized the Rams for Stafford will all probably praise Denver. That said IMO Wilson makes them a playoff team but they are in a very good division.

One thing is for sure, Seattle misses a lot with their draft picks. Either they score or they bust which is why they don't have depth. Les does more with his 4th and 5th round picks than they do with their 2nd and 3rd round picks.

No question the Rams look to be the team to beat in the NFCW.

This trade sucks for the Rams.
The Rams had Wilson's number with Seattle.. I just always felt good about playing against him. I don't know who the Seahawks get.. but they replenished a shit ton of draft power AND got some good players. I worry about them more with a reboot and "no one believes in us" mindset than I did with Russell. Oh, well.

Probably means the Rams lose Von. That SUCKS.... I'd make the trade every day, knowing what he meant to the Super Bowl. But, for roster building.. you gave up a 2nd and 3rd and most you can get back in compensation is a 5th.

AND.. if you go after an FA who wasn't released.. or before June... you have that count against you in the comp formula. Sucks.

And.. you now have to face Von AND Wilson with a team with a good line.

Sucks all around.
AND, it means two more wins for the 49ers, whom the Hawks have owned.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but the Broncos are almost certainly going to be playing in L.A. on Thursday Sept 8th, right?

but now that the rams have finally got their heads out of their arses when they play the whiners that will mean two losses for them.

That's been my guess for the day. Makes too much sense to not have it even though it could be a big prime time game later in the season its' a great start to it too.

Good for Russell Wilson.

Him agreeing to this trade is what I would've done (if I was him) evaluating his recent career in the NFC West and NFC Conference the last few years.

The Broncos could go 9-8, 12-5 or somewhere in-between in 2022.

Let Russ cook in Denver.

I have no qualms with Wilson agreeing to this trade. The AFC is loaded, and Russ made a calculated/risk to move on with the blessing of the Seahawks.

A bit of a headscratcher by the Seattle organization allowing it to happen.

I would not have signed off on it if I was aboard the Seattle staff.

Russ likely believed Pete and the Seattle staff needed a couple of years of reloading and it appears he gambled on playing for the Broncos in the wild AFC talented Conference.

Rare trades like these in the NFL are fascinating and fun when they happen.

I won't be surprised if he's playing in the AFC Championship game in his first season as a Bronco.

Russ is a hall of fame QB with some good years left in his tank.

OK, so just to be clear here ... the Broncos have pushed ALL Their Chips Into the Middle of the Table ... They are ALL IN! ... and anything less than a Lombardi will make this trade a Monumental FAILURE. And, regardless of how this turns-out, Denver has been Reckless and Irresponsible with its future by trading all these draft picks.

Just trying to be honest, fair and objective here. Those are the exact things a majority of the Media Experts said in evaluating the Rams / Stafford trade thirteen months ago. And, the Media Experts are very smart.

I believe they did this trade to increase the overall value of the team. It’s up for sale and will fetch Billions… times 3 on Dr. Evil

I remember 10-15 years back; Brady, Manning, Rivers, and Roethlisberger were the only consistently productive QBs in the AFC. Seeing the QB talent that conference has now compared to the NFC is showing a potential power vacuum that the Rams can take advantage of for the next few years.

It would have been nice if Rodgers had left Green Bay for the AFC.

The Packers will be a formidable hurdle.
