What you are doing is awesome, keep doing what you're doing.
Was just making the suggestion in regards to your comment about the furthest you've run. And in conjunction with what Goose posted, if you want to run further be it for a race or just in general, you should limit the "long run" to once per week. Even if the daily run is 3 miles, the long run may be 3.25. Then the next week 3.8 etc. To avoid injury the recomendation is to leave the base miles alone and just extend 1 run per week.
Again, just a suggestion. Running is incredible and the only nemesis out there is injury. Cant ever beat it, just have to try and avoid it
