I think Rochell will be cut.

But the top four of Durant, Weatherspoon, Kendrick and Tomlinson are solid.

Now if we had a legit number one CB, sure that would be better. But that's not the type of player that will be getting cut, so we would likely just be picking up another Kendrick type.

For TE we have Allen and Hopkins behind Higbee....Allen has looked good.

Although we have little behind either of those groups, but Jordan Jones could become CB5 imo.. Even if it's a decent young developmental player that lands on our practice squad, I'm OK with that.

Keeping Stafford vertical is our biggest priority.

I like that we're off to a fast start with the acquisition of Dotson. He might not have gotten to us on the wire. 1 down only 52 to go.

Let's not forget the movement around the 53 that comes in the first 1-2 weeks. There will be at least one player on the 53 who will get cut and attempted to move to the practice squad after the first week and most like a player elevated too.

That was two weeks ago. After the Rams' first preseason game.

LeCounte was signed by the Bucs last week but will probably (my guess) get cut in the next two days.
He's the only name listed on the site tracking roster cuts. Yes it was weeks ago but it's the only one they show for us.

Yes, and that makes this concerning, once you get past the Oh good we got more O.L help reaction.

Wait?! The Panthers actually had a player named "Bumper Pool"? :zany1:
Yeah. I guess the guy actually had his name legally changed to "Bumper". At least that's what I thought I heard during a game.

Quite a few every year.
To the extent the Rams are? 36 rookies on the offseason roster?
I guess it's possible.
I'm also too brief on my points at times. I had already posted today that I thought they would have their biggest changes ever, under McVay, between their initial 53 and their 53 going into week one.
I can just see multiple guys easily being dismissed from this roster if the right player is cut by another team. Heck.. that could even be a backup QB at this point.

Taken literally when talking about only waiver pickups, yeah, 5 or 6 would be a lot. But I could easily see the Rams with 4-5 new faces between waiver pickups and trades, including today's.

Agreed. Building a championship roster starts now. That includes building solid depth in the front 7 with a core group of players on vet minimums. There will be some good players cut to make way for a massive draft class. IMO the Rams are innovating while others imitate

2024 We add three high end starters from FA and 1st 2nd round picks. Then mount a strong challenge for 3 years, starting in 2024. It’s a blessing playing in the NFC West. It’s no joke and the best team in our division most often goes to the super bowl

Stafford cements his place in the HOF by picking up another ring. Believe. I can’t wait to see him play this year. He’s going to light it up

The Rams are in a highly unique situation this preseason .

Actually, I believe that the Rams are playing it sneaky with the rest of the league.

They have an abnormally high number of draft picks and udfa's and they have likely identified several that they like long term, so they'll have to sneak some players onto the practice squad.

So, don't discount the fact that the Rams may have actually given limited preseason snaps to players that they actually really like, not because they have little chance of sticking, but instead in hopes of limiting their exposure and avoiding them being snatched by other teams.

Tanner Ingle (S) and Taron Vincent (DL) reported on SI / Fan Nation as being cut by the Rams.

I don't think we have a Rams-only 53-man-roster / Practice Squad thread.

Figure there could be a lot of moves in the next few weeks but if moderators think it's unnecessary, feel free to remove it. I will be offended and a little hurt but will do my best to recover.

Richard LeCounte (S) was waived two weeks ago.

Kevin Dotson (G) was acquired via trade yesterday.

Fan Nation is reporting that Tanner Ingle (S) and Taron Vincent (DL) have been waived.

That's what I see thus far.
