While I agree, with Rivers they know he can do it when the lights are on with Connors they are not sure, although how do you know until you give a guy a chance?

Next year, if Stafford retires, or if they win the SB and Stafford stays, they will take the kid with upside over the experienced vet. This year however, its about making sure everyone knows what the hell they are doing. No surprises.

By this evening we will know how this less than desired LT position will be addressed by the PS16 make up & who is available to be signed.
Injured (ROOKIE) Keagen Trost talent to play LT since the draft has been highly questionable @ best. KT playing IOL & RT are not so much in question. Now that he has been out for most of pre season & injured places him far behind to help if problem burst out @ LT early this season.
Agree, AJ Arcuri for yrs now & recently demo'd he is nothing more than a stop gap emergency @LT. IMO its time to try to find a better LT with cloaked talent than Arcuri.
OT Austin Blaske should be that known prospect @ this point in time. AB played much better on the left side than right. AB knows & preformed in this Ram offense played 3 gms. so he is saturated in this complex offense. AB shows to me latent potential for the LT position. This OL'er played 4 of the 5 OL posts in pre season.

Two of our future starting Interior OL'ers were placed on IR before the MR53 was reduced. By rule are players able to return later this season. Sad part Trost will NOT get any practice time with Rams nor will he for over a month or longer. Real serious problem rookie Trost.
OG Limmer has great opportunity here to push his value to Ram team, while IOL'ers Trost & Dedich are absent. Currently the Rams Interior OL is in very good shape into the future from exceptional smart Demoff contracts.
Sure looks like Limmer has some serious competition from Bill Murray. BM has never played (OT) in college or reg. NFL gms.
Finally .....during Trost Seven yrs of college, he had only 13 starts @ LT & they were due to injuries. KT was a designated starting RIGHT OT for 2 seasons.
David Quessenberry has a ton of responsibility to remain healthy as the Swing OT. The Ram OL weakness is @ LT back up......once again.

If not for the trade, Mark Redman would have been claimed. Good news: the Rams knew who to keep and who not to.
At least we know Alaric Jackson will not be suspended.

Have the Rams org. gotten an official answer on Jackson suspension? I must have missed that. Is there a firm deadline requiring NFL to decide before Week 1. Its AJ's 2nd offense too.
We do know that AJ criminal charges were not filed. We know AJ did go into a pre-filing diversion program. My understanding the NFL can treat that, as a violation under its PCP. So I was under the impression that the review is still lurking to bang the Rams over the head.
Not so. He was (is) eligible for it, but did not enter the program.

Well they already had Corum and Williams when they drafted him - seemed like it was always a depth pick or maybe a situational guy.
Only like 30% of 5th round picks even make the team.
People forget that he was drafted before Williams got his extension and before Corum broke out last year. They may have been projecting him to be the #2 back in 26'.
Maybe they saw Hunter wasn't it in training camp last year. So it makes you wonder if his struggles helped Williams get an extension.
Yeah, when Jackie was lost for the remainder of the year midseason, Pankey was moved to his RT spot and Bain filled in at LT and made All-Pro.
And, Bain also played Left Tackle in 1983, when Pankey missed the season with an injury.
The Rams were lucky to have Bill Bain in ‘83 and ‘84 but he was, almost exclusively, an OT those years.
And a very attractive man …
I remember seeing Bain stretching in warmups at the Big A. Basically just layed there. Good O Lineman with no flexibility.
Some oddities of the roster.
3 running backs is a little light but they had to make room for the #7 WR and AD and I'm glad they didn't cut another DL. Crap, the way it works with the practice squad, one of the two RBs there can be elevated if the need is there any given week or signed to the 53 if need be.
5 TEs seems like a lot but Ram fans wouldn't mind 6 if it kept that 13P screwing with NFL defenses.
And 7 WRs is a lot. Particularly with 5 TEs. But the Rams are known for pushing the envelope.
4 CBs seems a little light but we have Lake who is both and 2 more on the practice squad.
