Compensation drops when they pay the roster bonus which is one of the main reasons he's been traded.

LOL I just finished the Rams WR Cap numbers and BAM Woods is gone.

I hoped they kept Robert Woods. He really helped changed the Rams organization. Good Luck Bobby Trees!!!!!

Too bad they only got a 6th rounder, Well, Les needs to get his 6th rounder quota.

Now, it's what can they do with the cap savings? Rams and Snead made the right move getting ARob to replace Woods first. There is still room for a cheaper OBJ later in the season. Snead needs to add to the defense with Edge and CB.

It sucks we couldn’t get more but it makes sense. They cleared up some cap for other needs. They had too much resources invested in WRs. You have to think Van Jefferson keeps improving and they will try to get Tutu involved. Kupp and Robinson is the new 1a 1b. OBJ is the wild card potential boom.

i agree spyder..

they did robert right...

i'm sure there were most likely better offers from shitier teams..

good luck bobby, wish you well...

go rams

Well, @Merlin, I think this confirms your theory on the passing offense and the type of receivers that McVay wants to pair with Stafford.
Yeah I do think that's a valid thing. But I am also surprised how fast they moved on it.

Re: Woody I also feel like they would have kept him, it was just that fucking contract he had to have.

Anyway best of luck to you Robert and thank you for some great years in which this team went from a bunch of shitters to world champs.

He should have finished his career as a Ram, this is terrible news. I’d have kept him over OBJ as well (that’s not taking into account any finances though).

Yeah.. I'm going to say again.. @Merlin has been all over this for a long time. Not a hater of Woods by any means, but saw clearly that the money and the impact didn't add up for this team if Odell was an option.. the curveball was Robinson.

So, It Basically sounds like a Woods for Robinson & a 6th Round Draft Pick?! Still don’t like it but if the Rams use whatever cap space they gained by this trade for a quality FA or Veteran (Trade) it MIGHT soften the Blow/Disappointment!!!

For a 6th???
A 6th???????

Woods for a Skowronek? Or less most likely? Ugh. Not a fan.

I understood that the time has to come.... but shiiiit.

1.. A 6th in 2023 equals 7th in 2022. We gave Woods away.
2. We spent about a third on Boom and Allen, compared to what Big Whit would have cost.
3. We spent significantly less in gtd money for Robinson, vs getting Miller back.
4. We saved a ton on a new deal with Stafford.
The Rams did not NEED to dump Woods like this. No wee get to depend on Jefferson to not suck when it counts.
