I am not too concerned about the Woods trade. I thought his biggest weakness was his hands. He dropped a lot of catchable balls thrown his way and I think that was one of the reasons Stafford slowed down his pass rate to him. He might have blocked well but as far as speed and catching ...he wasn't that good. I prefer Robinson and his 1 dropped ball over Woods. I just wish they could have gotten more than a 6th for him. Otherwise...I wasn't exactly heart broken over it.

My biggest concern is The Rams under Mcvay has been built with relationships. The Lockeroom is what I believe matters most when it comes to Robert Woods. He & Kupp are BFF’s & Woods dad died surprisingly SuperBowl week. SAD!!
The Rams have a lot of young WR’s,so after signing Robinson the concerns was Robert Woods health & contract which is no longer a worry with the trade.

Once again it’s about how The Rams players perceive the trade when it is a Rams Player who is held in such high regard.

Then during the 2021 season Woods & or DJ1 came to Mcvay about not getting the Football.I don’t know what or if there was a issue there? I know there was a little something something going on there.

Still hard to believe Cooper Kupp had such a HOF type season after missing The Green Bay playoff loss the season before.

Woods was pretty damn sure handed until last year. Not sure what it was but it seemed like he dropped some sure fire passes before he got hurt. Give me Kupp/Robinson/Jefferson/OBj over Kupp/Woods/Jefferson/OBj 10/10 times.

I don't like this one bit I'd rather rely on the knee of Woods than OBJ's knee.
The Rams will miss his blocking ability.

Yeah I learned my lesson last year not to get too emotionally attached to these players, but I also worry about the locker room and the culture there with losing Big Whit and Hekker and now Woods. I'll say something that may not be popular but I don't think we won that Superbowl because we were the best team in the NFL this year I think a lot of it had to do with the love these guy had for each other and the heart they were playing with and playing/fighting for each other. I would hate to see that change and that's why the loss of these guys hurts

Rams shoulda kept woods and not resigned obj. Woods is the better team player and would have been here from week 1. woods, kupp, and arob would be best trio all season rather than hoping kupp and arob stay healthy at least until obj returns.

Yep. I miss Woods a lot but th Quinn and Gurley trades made me numb lol.

On the offensive, we still have Kupp and Stafford. Those guys are the best players and hardest working, and will lead by example.

Stafford has to be the primary vocal leader now since Whit isn't there.

Woods wasn't the vocal guy, so the other WRs will follow Kupp.

Big Rob is now the leader of the OL. That's the biggest question mark.

Woods is definitely a better locker room guy but give me OBJ because the brighter the lights get the better he gets

I thought there was no way they would trade Woods for just a salary dump while still owing a huge chunk. Seems to be a dumb move which weakens one of the most important position groups on the team.

I don’t like it and I hope it doesn’t come back to bite them.

well if I could have woods or obj ALL season, it's obj, but woods would be here week 1 and we need 3 big dogs going into the season in case one misses time, which is usually the case.

From opening day last season our '3 big dogs' were Kupp, Woods & Van Jefferson, and the Rams went 7-2 before Woods was injured ... this season we'll begin with Kupp, Robinson & Jefferson as our 'big dogs'. I'm not worried about our WR room, but I do hope to get OBj back & involved as soon as possible.

While some might say a hot Aaron Rodgers was destined to beat the Giants, the reality is Beckham and Shepard's drops of potential first-half touchdown passes (along with a key, early third-down drop by Beckham) prevented the Giants from opening up a large lead that may have been difficult for the Packers to overcome.

I'll take Kupp and Robinson over OBJ for the season to build a winner. One game or stretch run, OBJ over Robinson. OBJ is level-headed until he's not. Same physically.

I'm not at all concerned about the locker room dynamics for two reasons.

1. Players fighting for each other is way overblown at this level of pro sport. Sure, a highly toxic locker room can cause issues, but I'm fine with an ok one.

2. Even so, we have had such a harmonious locker room because McVay has made it so. So why on earth would he disrupt that? What in his track record suggests he won't bring in more high-quality players. Look how quickly DJax was got rid of when he started to act like a tool (allegedly).

@brucebruce mentions the Odell boat party, but that was years ago. I for one have heard nothing concerning since he pulled on horns in terms of his attitude.

We sometimes forget that these are young guys who are maturing before our eyes.

Steven Jackson was an entitled ass-clown in his first season with the Rams because of Faulk getting a lot more of the ball. But look how he turned out, one of the all-time great Rams.

The Rams Facebook page has been blowing up with indignation because of all the departures, but that's the same every year and a lot will happen between now and September.

I'm disappointed to see Tress go for so little, but at the end of the day, I trust the guy who in 5 seasons has a 55-26 record, doesn't even know what a losing season is, and just won us the Super Bowl to make better decisions than I would.

Woods was an integral part of the rebuild and I'm grateful we had him on the team.
Players come and go, to be perennially good you need to make tough decisions and let guys go.
Tennessee is a good team, he should do well there.

I think the offense gets set back by this. I don’t believe that McVay is going to change schemes. The Rams will struggle to run the ball. That gets harder minus Woods. Kupp is the only receiver that can duplicate Woods knowledge and execution.

They added Robinson, I’d have kept Woods and said bye to Odell

Edit: I’ll add that from what we have seen it looks like we can expect Skowronek to play Woods blocking role and short to intermediate route running role. I hope he works on his hands and refined his route running ability.

I agree about Woods as a leader and the Rams have also lost another great leader in Andrew Whitworth too, but others in the locker room will have to step up. They still have Donald, plus I expect Cooper Kupp to continue along with Stafford and I believe Brian Allen is ready to be active in that role. Keep in mind the Rams draft & sign many team captains to ensure esprit de corps in the locker room and the football field too.

We should have known something was coming when the Robinson
deal hit...but I sure hate it was Woods!!!

It makes sense though. I don't see Jefferson going anywhere though. If anyone goes I think it will be Skow. He's been somewhat disappointing.

All the best to Woods though...and at least he goes to a contender!!
