Can you imagine the hype of the last Manning bowl, played in London?!?!?!

Well, Bradford or Fitz are both better Ram options, Selassie.

Both short term and long term.

Hell, Keenum is a better option.

Not from where I'm sitting. I'd take Opie in his present condition way before any of those.

Denver had the edge at #1WR other than that the Rams' talent with Gurley and TA were better than what the Broncos had.

Imagine if they add a WR like, say, Jones plus a couple draftees with good hands. Their offense might jump "respectable" and go right to "wow." Teams are going to have to respect Gurley and that run game.

Show me a better option available than Opie.

Here are two:

You'd take today's Peyton, and his salary, over any of those options, Selassie?

Ummmmm...

Might want to rethink that position. A good place to start would be to rewatch Peyton's SB performance.

Maybe I should compare his SB performance to all of the other 3's SB performances.

Oh wait...

So Larry Brown sports is citing a bleacher report guy claiming anonymous league officials say something? I'll check back when somebody credible cites this.

Agreed, Manning will retire and to quote Bob Dole: "You know it, I know it and the American People know it."

Im sorry, I dont even understand why Peyton wants to play anywhere. He cant throw the football anymore. Its almost embarrassing. He cant play. He was one of the worst QB's in the game last year. He was barely better than Foles and was outplayed by Osweiler, who by the way is not that good either.

Unless he gets his hands on some extra strength HGH, I wouldnt touch him.

Based on last years stats.....Case Keenum. He threw 17 picks in 10 games. He was 33rd in QB rating. About 18M for that?

I'm not a stat guy.

I do know that Opie was being forced to use a different offensive system last year. I believe that had a bunch to do with his stat line too.

I'm into watching the play on the field though... and even in his current deminished state I believe he is just light years better than Case.

I still think Opie will just retire,,, but if not,,, I will be hoping for him to sign with us. And I could give a shit if we have to pay him as much as Bradford or more for a year or 2. He's worth every penny in this world of the ever so elusive NFL caliber QB.

First we were going to get RGIII, and now we are going to get Manning. I could be wrong, but I think all three of the Rams QBs are who we roll with next year. Open competition with all three unless we deal Foles in a trade, but that seems unlikely.

Now, would I want Manning on the team? We need offensive performance to make it to the playoffs. Our division is still tough, guys. Sprinkle some Manning and everything is alright? No. His career is not nearing an end, it's at it's end. We do not need to pay that kind of salary to find a mentor to develop Mannion. Aren't we paying coaches to do that? I would take Osweiler though.

Then they can keep him on the practice squad until the playoffs hahahahahahaha.

Nice try, Selassie.

Perhaps you missed the operative word in my question?

It was "today's" Peyton Manning.

Peyton was a great QB. A certain first ballot HOF'er. But that was then, and this is now. We wouldn't be getting the 2000-2014 Peyton Manning. We would be getting his shadow.

No thanks.
