Let’s cut to the “expert” narrative...

Rams have no chance, cancel the game.

If we only rush 3 we could drop our entire secondary roster into coverage and Brees would still pick us apart. We gotta get him on his @$$ and keep him there.
No, you're not just dropping guys into coverage, like they have all season, it's also redoing the secondary.

I'm relying on what Wade did to beat the Patriots back in 2016. https://www.si.com/nfl/2016/01/28/blanket-coverage-wade-phillips-super-bowl-50
Phillips went against his tendencies in every facet. He blitzed just 15% of the time, and he rushed only three defenders 14 times. The Broncos in the first half rushed a different combination at Brady, in personnel, numbers or technique, on every snap. In the secondary, the Broncos mixed coverages almost as often. The Broncos often threw additional bodies at Gronkowski, and occasionally they’d send a lurker to help on Edelman. On second- and third-and-longs, Phillips often rushed three and played one deep safety with six defenders underneath in match man and zone coverages in an effort to take away Brady’s quick, short passes.

Sure, people might say Brees is way better than Brady ever was, but I'm looking to give the Rams a fighting chance. I don't see the personnel to apply constant pressure on Brees or knock him on his ass.

Just look at the roster of WHO would come in if we rushed 3 and loaded the secondary my man. I have zero faith in our depth basically, and Brees is so accurate that the only way to stop him is pressure. :D

Nickel and dime is max. No need for more than 5-6 DBs. We still need to bring the pressure from the middle but keep contain on the outside to prevent Kamara from breaking off one. We need to bump Kamara and Thomas at the LOS and get physical as hell with those 2 guys. Go look at how the Patriots played the GSOT in the SB and copy that gameplan. Stuff their running game eqrly on and make them one dimensional is the key

put NRC on Kamara all game.
Seriously.

Then Talib on Thomas with a safety over top.

DL stunts and some Mark Barron blitzing should keep Brees from getting to comfy.

Rams win, I get a game ball.
Now that's a good idea. NRC tackles very well and is very quick. Barron is very good as a blitzing LB.

Start with nickel, maybe base -- you're not getting pressure on him.

We have to double thomas I don't understand why the eagles and other teams don't. I don't think anyone on our team can line up 1v1 against that guy he's on the top of his game right now with one of the best QBs throwing him the ball. Maybe if Talib was younger I'd be all for it.

I think it's simple cover Thomas and play the run and take out the crowd
This is one of the ingredients. The second is score TDs not Field goals. The play calling in the Red Zone bites sometimes. Also Goff needs to stop reeling from his 4 interception game and start trusting himself again. That blitz had Gurley open for an easy TD and Goff just threw it away. Snap out of it Goff. Yo got this.

Goff just doesn't look like himself. We need him to take his game to another level to come out with a win in NO

Oh, I thought you meant take Brees out to a nice dinner at Ruth’s Chris.

Kill Brees with the cholesterol from the steak and the huge amount of butter? Maybe the sour cream on the baked potato side?

There is nothing wrong with steak. In fact, steak is the best possible eating that can be done! And this whole thing about bad cholesterol is b.s. invented by sugar and processed food industries.

In my opinion we HAVE TO blitz often against the Saints. Send at least 5 guys a lot of times.
I know many of you are gonna say "Breeze is a pro he'll burn us if we blitz."
But I'm telling you he will burn us easier if we rush 4 and get no pressure. At LEAST with some blitzes there's some kind of chance of a tipped ball, or fumble, or sack.

We simply CANNOT rush 4 and expect to stop their offense.

I honestly think that we're going to run this two-headed monster into the ground.

If we can be efficient running the ball, I can easily see us going for 40 minutes TOS.

I think we can beat them if we man up and press. Brees will have to be hyper accurate on those short and intermediate routes and his long distance accuracy has waned. He's not going to throw it 60 yards...which is why Brandin Cooks is a Ram. He was outrunning Brees. NE shipped him out because they don't pay anyone top dollar.

Part of how you get the pass rush home on Brees is force him to not just drop back, plant and throw. He's got to take that second to get through his reads.

Also, Peat really struggled with Fletcher Cox and it sure doesn't seem like he would have an easier time against AD.

I really think we can do it. That said, we are going to have to play mistake free football, execute and play with at least as much intensity as we did against Dallas.

Yes, it's actually saturated fat that is evil. Some is necessary, but a huge Ruth's Chris steak smothered with butter is unhealthy. Don't get me wrong - when my wife was sick with cancer and had trouble eating, I fed her a bunch of steak smothered in butter - the calories were important, and she could actually eat up a small steak. But long term health is not helped by a 16 ounce steak smothered in butter, at least not on a regular basis.

Today’s game was an ugly showing by our offense, and we surprisingly hung like 500 yards in the Eagles.

I totally didn’t see that happening.

The Eagles put a rookie on Michael Thomas and didn't spy Kamara coming out of the backfield.

I'm surprised you all didn't drop a 50 burger on them with that game plan of the Eagles.

I'll admit, I'm done trying to figure out this Rams team since Week 12. I'm just rooting and cheering.

I certainly didn't expect us to run for 273 against Dallas and with your Run stopping DT out and our OL firing on all cylinders...we may just return the favor of that "two headed monster of Lightning and Thunder"

Wild game has almost no cholesterol and very little saturated fats with lots of the good fats (comparatively, wild game is typically very lean).
