Ah, I didn’t understand why you responded the way you did to the idea. But you have a point.

If they did it then bows the time. If not then they ride it out as long as they can and eat the loss. It’s a QB so I’m betting they don’t move him. Unless they can sucker Pete into thinking he can work miracles and trade for Wilson.

Lol, the Cardinal fans are already starting threads about trading Murray and firing their GM. Some want the coach fired too. Talk about knee jerk after two losses in a row. We lost 3 in a row and while we criticized Stafford, I don't recall anyone wanting him gone. Or Snead and McVay.

Not even a close approximation of talent, measurables and accomplishment, IMO.

Murray’s value doesn’t match up…I’ve never held him as talented, other than against air. Even with liberal, no-hits-on-the-QB rules, he can’t stay healthy to live up to the expectations.

Midget and two #1’s won’t get Rodgers or Russell.

That’s just me, though.

Kliff is fine when everything is easy. Squeeze him situationally, make him adjust with players missing...he don't got it.

I think you guys are undervaluing QB's. A young mobile QB with a good arm who was also leading the MVP talk for the first half of the year is most certainly worth a couple of 1st round picks. Look at this years QB's in the draft class. Underwhelming. Ask the Texans if they would give those picks up? Giants? And I'm sure a handful of other teams. Murray is talented, no doubt about it. What happens with him is when he gets hurt, he always comes back and plays worse for several games. Not sure if its mental or what. Last season he did the exact same thing.

Many. Kyler is 24 years old and is a stud athlete and shown he can hang in the league. Plus so many teams are QB thirsty they'll do whatever it takes.

I am actually hoping they give him a record sized NFL contract to stay in AZ. Then lets see how they can afford all those high priced free agents like they went out and got this offseason.

This is exactly why the Rams kept Perkins on the roster.

I don't know why people are surprised. I've seen this in Kyler since day one. He's a dink and dunk QB who is inconsistent on deep throws. In three years he's gone from a one read then run QB to a 2 read and panic. His best throws come on broken plays.

Kyler has talent to be sure but he's a long way from being a franchise QB. He came in strictly a system QB (RPO) which doesn't work in the NFL. In 3 years he has yet to learn to read defenses. I said take away his easy throws within 10 yds and he gets frustrated and forces the ball. We all saw that on display. It's a simple book on beating Kyler if a team has the front 7 to rush him and contain him.

AZ has a huge decision to make at the end of this season on whether or not they will exercise his 5th year option. IMO that will be based upon what they think his trade value is. I think it's clear they can see what they have and don't have in Murray. At the end of 3 years they have a QB who is afraid to run because of all the hits he takes, and struggles to read defenses and becomes frustrated and inconsistent. IMO this season is all or nothing for Kliff and Kyler, but it's a poor bet IMO. 3 years is enough to show the Kliff Kingsbury experiment is done.

If the Cards don't exercise the 5th year option, I think Kyler will leave the NFL for MLB in 2023 if not before. I'm not convinced he would play his last year in the NFL (2022) and risk injury to his MLB option. His immature frustration was very clear when he was on the bench and at the podium.

When a football coach is notorious for teams that collapse in the second half of seasons, you must question the culture of his entire operation.

After the Cardinals lost two playoff-clinching games to end the 2020 season under Kliff Kingsbury, general manager Steve Keim made drastic steps to import better character, better pedigree, better leaders and more physicality. To make sure a grotesque collapse never happened again.

Well, it’s happening again. It’s fair to wonder if they’ll win another game this season."

The Cardinals remind me of the Padres. Hyped in the preseason, start off hot and fade out as the season progresses. Every couple years they blow it up and start over.

Ehhh, I don't even worry about the Rams' contracts. The salary cap can be manipulated more than anyone can ever know.
