Hellraiser - The reboot Hulu original. I guess I am going to have to go back and watch the original Clive Barker's 1987 version. I think Hulu did a really good job. The acting was pretty good and the story line seemed to keep flowing. I am going to give it a 8/10. It would be a 9/10 if it had a little shorter run time.

The Outfit - an excellent movie I’d give it 9.5. It starts a little slow but it’s all set up very well. The entire movie takes place in a Tailors shop. The tailor makes clothes for gangsters.

I highly recommend it. It’s on Prime now.

Watched it last night, very good indeed. Mark Rylance in the lead was excellent.

It felt almost like I was watching a play rather than a movie, but as you said it set the scene very well.

A couple of plot flaws would have me giving it an 8, but well worth watching.

It was ok but was riddled with cheesy scenes that somehow felt like added in reshoots. I'm just not sure how a writer can look at the dialogue of their movies and think people won't notice their lack of attention to detail.

Lawless - 9.0

This film had a great cast. Tom Hardy, Shia LeBouf, Jessica Chastain and The acting was excellent. (Brief appearances of Gary Oldman as Pretty Boy Floyd)

It’s based on the ‘wettest county in the world’, during prohibition, Franklin County Virginia. It’s a true story written by Matt Bonderant about his Great Grandfather Jack Bonderant and his brothers Forest, and Howard.

I really like the prohibition era movies. I loved it.

It’s currently on Paramount, but can be rented from Prime also.

Megan Leavey. I just watched it for a second time. It came out in 2017 so some of you may have seen it. I highly recommend it to dog lovers. It’s on Amazon Prime.

Terrible movie. Boring as heck. Low budget, and noticeably so. Why'd they make this one?

"Terrifier 2" 9/10 if you are a huge horror slasher film fan. Not for the weak of heart. Terrifier 2 is the most shocking slasher film that I've ever seen. If you don't like gory horror films...please stay away. The movie will horrify, scare, and terrify. The killer clown "Art" skills are up there with Freddie, Michael Myers, and Jason. Art the clown never speaks, but he communicates with the skill of a profession mime.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)

8/10. Really good sci fi story, dazzling visual effects and a great score. Only thing that bothers me is what they did with the main character, Roy. His decision at the end makes him look like a bad person.

The new Willow looks interesting, but i needed to watch the original movie.

OMG...I was dying laughing. IDK if this was supposed to be a comedy, but i had the time of my life watching this. Hahaha. 7/10.

I loved the original movie with Val Kilmer , but haven't watched it in several years , I plan on going back and watching it at some point

I have enjoyed the first two episodes of the new TV series

‘The Wonder’ - on Netflix now. Set during the potato famine era. A girl seems to be able to live without eating. 7.5. Good story.

‘The Butterfly Effect’ - 2004 Ashton Kutcher. I watched it on HBO max. It’s a cool story about a guy that discovers he can change the past and the altered outcomes. 7.0

‘Donnie Darko’ - 2001 Jake Gillenhall. A pschizophrenic talks to a giant rabbit and figures out how to time travel. He wants to prevent the deaths of people he cares about. 7.0
I’d have gone to a 7.5 but the parts were a little slow.

Okay I just saw bullet train and it reminded me a little of pulp fiction (granted not nearly as good but not nearly as boring either)

Spoiler: What would have had my head laughing my ass off if they inserted this scene

I know this would have made this movie completely unrealistic but I would have laughed my ass off if they inserted a scene at the end of the credits where they showed the two guys arguing about the briefcase ending up in hell and the one not wanting to open the briefcase saying - "I told you it might have a bomb in it"

I couldn't believe I loved this when I was a little kid.

More of a dark comedy / drama than horror.

Once dinner started, every scene had me pulled in.

So well done.


Maybe, slightly relatable to many workers that provide any type of service or craftsmanship.
However, I don't recommend anyone take their frustration this far. Haha

Thats what the CGI and big 'plosions are all about.....who needs a story line or dialog when you've got big 'plosions.

Infinity Pool 7.5
Strong acting by all four leads. When it comes to recent horror movies...Mia Goth is killing it.
Psychological, metaphor horror. Death of ego/Identity. Infantile regression. Elite privilege.
Recommended for those who like David Cronenberg films. David's son Brandon wrote and directed Infinity Pool. The apple did not fall far from the tree.
