This is a separate problem. It is fair to point out we have fucked up our corner picks, just like we have with OL, but both must be addressed in the draft this year for the rebuild to be quick.

I am in a very small group who thinks this trade was wise. I still feel that way. Don't mind others feeling it's a big mistake, to each his own. But this time next year people will feel the move was made at the right time.

As to the compensation I am a little disappointed. I wanted a round 2 pick. But this was a salary dump for the Rams so that cut into the value. Now we get to see if they can use the resources correctly to get back on track. To me that is preferable to having a declining and overpaid vet who blames those around him for his shortfalls.
I get trading him and the logic tho it wasn't what I would do. We got fucked dry on this trade. Snead got owned.

Would Jalen want to play on this newly revised 2023 Ram team? Appears to me the Rams decided it would be best for them & Jalen that a trade is made.

Jalen might have had many Rapp slapping events playing with young DB's like Lake, Kendrick, Rochell, Durant & Yeast.

It also appears that ROD & Jalen Ramsey held a different opinion of Jalen's talent than the rest of the NFL does. The NFL would not barter for anything higher/more than a 3rd rd selection says soooo much.

Myself, I believe going forward that Jalen's career will rise higher playing in the Phins defense than the Rams D. Jalen must be elated about this.

I hope this doesn't mean the Rams are done at TE during the draft, this is one of the deeper TE drafts in ages. We do still have time to unload Higbee for a late 2026 7'th rounder though, so let's see what happens.

This guy is a jag so I wouldn't worry about that, he doesn't even play special teams, it seems.

If I have to guess, the Rams in the past like to throw a lot of resources at a position and then move on. Most recently, corner last year with both draft and trade. I suspect the Rams are looking to do that at TE and would expect at least one more TE being brought in via the draft if not two (prior to any UDFA).

With the historic nature of this draft class at TE and the benefit of playing 12 personnel against these two high defenses, I suspect that the pass catching offense will be retooled to go in that direction. (And it's not like it will be a super big change for us, our 11 personnel plays a lot like 12 - call it 11 1/2! - due to how much blocking and quality of blocking we ask of our WRs.)

I would not be shocked if the top three pass catchers on the team next year are Kupp, Jefferson and a drafted TE.

I can only assume that any other offers were so bad that Snead felt he was already in too deep to step back.

Well any illusions of us getting John Michael Schmidtz to lock up the interior of our line for the next 10 years evaporated with this trade. Any idea of getting the best edge at 36 did as well. We are now literally forced to draft the top CB since we are rail thin at the position now. They like Rochell? What did he get, 50 snaps last year? They didn't play him when he was healthy, that doesn't suggest that they "like" him IMO. This trade has repercussions all the way down.

Honestly, why would Donald want to play next year at this point? I know he said he was fully committed to playing our his extension, but, honestly, we aren't a playoff team without some really great moves this offseason. I think Snead has shown, those are a thing of the past if they were even his own.

We had 5 suitors and picked this shitty deal. Wow, just terrible
So, realistically, Ramsey screwed us by his demands and then we reward him by sending him to the exact location he wanted for a SHIT return. Well played Rams.

You’re all going to feel pretty silly when Hunter Long goes to the HOF and thanks Les Snead for seeing his great potential when nobody else did.
