3 & 0 to start the season. Perfectly set up to win 6 of 6 or 5 of 6 of the next 6 (soft middle for the schedule). Toughest games are the Hawks and 9ers of the six.

Rams easily looking good to get to 9-0 record!

I feel like mcvay is going thru some serious growing pains as a HC very questionable calls. Calling a challenge with a questionable PI then not calling the obvious non PI on Hill. Real head scratcher.
Then not running the ball and making Cleveland use their time outs.

Good win by our defense

Celebration thread?

a note fr espn:
The Browns came in battered and bruised. They were missing eight starters, including their entire defensive secondary and it was such a desperate situation that Burris, who was claimed Friday off waivers from Oakland, started and played the entire game.

I’m happy we won. Being 3-0 two years in a row is an amazing feelings. And I’m probably being completely spoiled but things haven’t seemed the same this year. Maybe I’m just waiting for our offense to really break out. Hopefully next week. Bucs defense is horrible.

We will get to see McCoy & SUH on the inside of the D line against our weakest players and Suh knows this offense and will help the sorry Bucs. Beating the saints and taking out Brees was a war and took lots of preparation and fight and we played down to our competition tonight as Cleveland has some very talented players and they got lucky a few times and when we all ou blitzed they ran a screen to that side. a missed fieldgoal in that wind affected the game also. We need 16-17 weeks for this team to get ready for the pats. Coach's need work too.

I’m gonna say it (and I said it last week ) despite goff being off tonight .. something is up with Gurley .. he isn’t running hard or nasty like he used too .. has his hunger for the game gone ? .. no one here can say this is the Gurley we know and love

There was a glimmer tonight when he threw a block for woods on the double reverse ... but TG3 isn’t the same player we have had his whole career .. something mentally is off with him

The second year for Gurley under Fisher, had many questioning whether he was a one year wonder, flash in the pan, etc...
2016 LA Rams
LT Greg Robinson LG Saffold Center Barnes RG Wichman RT Havenstein

2019 LA Rams
LT Whitworth LG Noteboom Center Allen RG Demby RT Havenstein

2016 Gurley = 885 yards rushing and 327 yards recieving and NO TD's.

Gurley and Goff have a substandard Oline and that accounts for many issues by both this year. We sustained a huge blow by letting Saffold walk, and really found out tonight. It's the first huge mistake by this organization during the McVay era. That Oline last year was stable consistent, and essentially never injured. It was a major reason for our success the previous two years.

Demby is a straight up liability and is the weakest link. Kromer needs to find an answer to this shyte. Gurley is affected somewhat by his arthritis issues, but his ineffectiveness has more to do with the guys up front, imo. No frigging Christmas gifts unless they shape up, right Jared?

I’m not celebrating shit. We played awful tonight. First time I’ve doubted McVay. His situational play calling was terrible. Goff has to step it up. He’s way too up and down and seems to turn the ball over every single game. The Oline was bad. Run defense has to tighten up. The Browns are NOT a good team and it should have been a blowout.

I know this sounds stupid considering all the shit years we had. But we need to get it together or we won’t even win the division.

Wrong thread, dude

Looks like the Browns came to play.
Respect.
Agreed. Pre-game we knew they'd need to win in the trenches to have a chance and they did on a lot of snaps defensively. And Mayfield balled his @$$ off. Lot of respect for them, I wasn't sure they had it in them with so many players out. We are very fortunate to get out of there with the W.

Glad we won. I thought Goff was looking decent today until that last interception. Just can't have that happen there at that point in the game. McVay seriously needs to involve Brown in the offense more moving forward. If the offense can slowly pull it together and peak towards the end of the season, we will make another run at the SB. That being said, I feel very cautiously optimistic regarding our offense so far, but loving our defense.

Kinda reminded me of some of the games the GSOT had were they lost the TO battle, but won the game. That is tough to do in the NFL.

so the rook blows coverage for 1 play and its a bad game? I thought he played well

I didn't say it was a bad game. I said it wasn't his best game. I can't give the guy a game ball when Aaron Donald was an absolute force and Rapp's mistake gave them their only TD of the evening.

I felt like we figured it out in the second half. Pound them with inside zone, and then use the play-action to bury them. Goff just needs to not force that last pass that was Int'd. The other Int wasn't an Int and was more a great play than anything. Young QBs have their ups and downs. Goff is currently down a tad. He is definitely not playing like he did for much of last year, but I expect he'll get it figured and get right.
Well, I would rather have them struggle now than later.

road wins in the NFL are a bitch after we just went to war with the saints and everyone threw there bodies around last week. Everyone sacrificed BIGTIME. Gurley is aware now he has to give just hat it takes and he isn't being GIVEN many big holes as last week the PITCH was working against the Saints and tonight against the pats SB D we had to run in the inside middle gaps and then play action worked. Malcolm Brown was not as effective as last week either. It's not just Gurley as Goff needed to focus on the middle of the field more instead of all the outside stuff and we had more drops than usual tonight.

This post is for the defense. For Clay Matthews coming home and balling out through 3 games. For Dante Fowler taking another step forward in his development and looking great. To the best defensive player I have ever seen, thank you for your hard work and dedication. It's because of you that we can win games like tonight despite losing the turnover battle 3-1.

Taylor Rapp looks great minus the one blown coverage tonight. John Johnson just continuing to get better and will soon be a top 5 safety in the league.

I would like to see Mcvay establish the running game more and stick with it. He reminds me of Chicken little after Gurley gets stopped on a 2 yard run.
