Well, the niners and Seahawks could both get the injury bug like we did last year. Geno could revert to his previous level of play. Niners could still be searching for a QB all season.

I’m not going to expect a miracle year with all the changes but, if it happens that would be spectacular.
Yeah the Niners have 3 QB’s that all have serious question marks around their ability and availability. As for the Seahawks they definitely improved their overall team in the Wilson trade but Geno Smith doesn’t put fear in any opponents eyes

I have been relatively optimistic all offseason and am even more so after the draft. I think given that we played Seattle so close twice, if you bring Stafford and Kupp in, we were better last year. I think we'll be better next year too.

But I consider myself a realistic optimist, so we start the season (like every year) 0-2. The only way we win the division is if the Niners get ravaged by injury, which is definitely a possibility - it's been a consistent theme with them under Shanahan. If we go back to our injury luck ways, I could see us pulling it out.

But assuming health, I just don't see them losing more than 3-4 games all year.

Niners - 14-3
Rams - 10-7
Seahawks - 7-10
Cardinals - 6-11
No way the 9ers go 14-3.

They have a new QB to the system that has turnover issues, a rookie coming off a nasty ankle injury and another rookie that may not even play this year depending on the rehab of his throwing elbow.

I think early on, they will struggle.

What amuses me is fandom. The Rams lost 8 defenders and the world is about to end. SF loses 8 defenders and they're the same team. :dizzy:

Now do our QBs

No way we go 7-10

We got a Super Bowl champ in peak form, a 2time NCAA champ ready to compete and a journeyman from Denver who can help the development of the collegiate adds.

I like our room a lot

... plus, sin of all sins, the media boys are heavily implying and even don't out stating that Aaron Donald is an Underdog! Aaron says, "I will show you I'd just how a Junk Yard Underdog fights for his seasonal life!!!"

Rams win the division? It’s possible. Likely? No. But, possible? Sure.

If the team doesn’t lose any of their core players to injury, while the divisional opponents aren’t as lucky.

If the Oline holds up and Matthew Stafford doesn’t lock in on Cooper Kupp every play.

If McVay makes a concentrated effort this offseason to place more emphasis on the running game and goes back to using more play-action like they did in the past.

If Aubrey Pleasant, Jimmy Lake, and Chris Beake can develop these young defensive backs enough and they communicate well and tackle (You really don’t need superstars back there with this defense).

If Hoecht and Brown III continue to develop and one of the rookies at EDGE outperform rookie expectations. Personally, I believe Byron Young could wind up with double digit sacks with his quick get off and some creativity. Can we run more stunts now, please?

No mention of concussions or elbow issues for Stafford? A rookie and a journeyman? And you like our QB room?
