Am I the only Rams Fan that thinks the Rams can AND will WIN the NFC West this upcoming season? Of course that is assuming Matt Stafford (AND, The OL!) stays Healthy! I do think the Rams will be much better than people think/expect!!!
What year/season are you talking about 2024, 2025, etc.?

I mean this in the nicest way, but may I ask you to please pass along what you are smoking? I'm relatively positive, but I could really use some of the good stuff you are hitting.
It’s the same stuff the 4 win crowd are smoking

AMEN brother!

I just dropped my $250 on Sunday Ticket with YouTube TV.
I'm all in (AGAIN) on the Rams this upcoming season.

I will root, drink, cheer, drink, shout, drink, and all together lose my shit -- fanatically.
I will freak out the kids and scare the dog with my viewing behavior.

We have a hell of a coach-- the best QB, Receiver, and D-lineman in the game....we will suit up some gladiators and play good football.

Go Rams.

If the Rams do not suffer any significant injuries we'll have a decent shot. Conversely that's a BIG if ...

I'm in between.

I am confident we will do better than what the 'experts' are saying, but won't go so far as to say we'll win the division. 7-10 / 8-9 most likely, with the outside chance for better if everything goes right. I just never see everything go absolutely right for anyone, and feel that's what we would need to go to the playoffs.

It's nice to dream this time of year. If we get to a Wild Card or better, it might be one of the best coaching job McVay has ever done. As far as the media goes, we are again barely spoken of, similar to being in St Louis again.

Let's go shock the World!

I have been relatively optimistic all offseason and am even more so after the draft. I think given that we played Seattle so close twice, if you bring Stafford and Kupp in, we were better last year. I think we'll be better next year too.

But I consider myself a realistic optimist, so we start the season (like every year) 0-2. The only way we win the division is if the Niners get ravaged by injury, which is definitely a possibility - it's been a consistent theme with them under Shanahan. If we go back to our injury luck ways, I could see us pulling it out.

But assuming health, I just don't see them losing more than 3-4 games all year.

Niners - 14-3
Rams - 10-7
Seahawks - 7-10
Cardinals - 6-11

You aren't the only one who thinks so welcome to the club! Don't let the doom and gloom crowd bring you down. Let them be miserable muppets all by themselves :D

Thinking the Shitgulls have really come up the last 2 years and knocked it out with this last draft.

I don’t think many casual football fans realize the level of talent they are quietly accumulating. We don’t have a way of really countering them tbh. (taking itty bitty Tutu years ago and not a solid C) we’ve set ourselves back a few years drafting like idiots and not working the UDFA lines properly.

The niners I think we have a chance if we can stop their run game attack depending on how fast our new front seven gets it together. ( they are rookies after all)

I've been saying it all year. The Rams are going to be sneaky good this year. They are a playoff caliber team and probably the best roster in the NFCW top to bottom. They have depth this year they didn't have last year. They have filled their roster holes with quality players. Yes, they are young but they are talented. The last few years they have had a roster filled with stars, but suffered from lack of quality depth at key positions. Now they have fewer stars but better overall roster talent. The Rams are building a team for the long haul. This was the foundation building year and from what I see Snead has succeeded. They simply need a few (3 or 4) young players to step up and play above their draft position. If they do, the NFCW had better watch the fuck out.

I've said in another post I expect the Rams to be a 10 win team at the minimum which gets them a wildcard berth at the least. I also said that I think 11-6 is realistic and that would get them the NFCW title. I said in 2021 the roster was built and they were a contender. I said it last year and it was but was struck down by unprecedented injuries across the board. This year the Rams are deeper and could withstand the normal attrition of an NFL season. That includes having a huge upgrade at QB2. Stetson isn't the most talented QB but he's a baller and that is exactly what you need at QB2.

I can't wait. The Rams are back.

When we won the division in 2021 we had a much better team (in all three phases) than we are likely to have next season. That year we went 3-3 in our division (2 losses to niners, 1 to cards).

Since then the cards and seahawks have reversed positions, but the niners are about the same (a tough matchup every time).

I can see us outscoring the cards twice, but no one else. Most likely we don't get to 3-3 in our division; Vegas predicts 7 wins overall.

If injuries catch up with both of the frontrunner teams, i guess we'd have a shot.

The Avila pick on its own infused me with a new optimism about this year. Might have a big impact and domino effect.

Ok, so this is one of the positive vibe threads. So lets put the homer hat on and see how they can achieve that.

Offense. If its gonna happen it will have to be due to the offense getting their shit together. A healthy offensive line would go a long way to getting there. Continuity is an important part of a good line.

If the line does play well I can see Stafford having a season like 2021. Akers was looking like the rookie Akers. Him and Jefferson are in their contract years. Its possible they both have breakout seasons. Kupp is Kupp. A healthy Kupp will have over 100 catches and 1400 yards. Higbee is a steady tight end who can block and get open. Tutu is a legit deep threat.

Defensively, they're young and not much experience in the secondary. I do expect even more bend don't break 7 to 10 yard cushions to protect the youngsters from getting beat deep. If they can focus on stopping the run maybe we could see something like the past couple years until they start to gel.

There was a lot of frustration with all those pitch and catch first downs. But when the game was over, quite a few times they didn't give up as many points as we thought they would.

If the Rams are gonna surprise people and make some noise it will be with offense. They do have the talent on that side of the ball.

I can see us getting back into the area of 24ppg. I just expect to be giving up about 27ppg.

Akers will be hugely improved and the Rams will run the ball and when they have the defense on their heels Stafford will hit Kupp for a touchdown.
