Exactly. Since McVay arrived, you can pretty much pencil in a 10 win team and playoffs. Injuries wrecked it last year.
Folks are talking about rebuilds?
I’d expect that stuff from the media. The negativity is lazy and easy.

Good points.
So, to some, we release Wagner and its a rebuild?
Or, to others, when a true front line player gets released or traded (Ramsey) then for sure it's a rebuild?
We know McVay/Snead rebuilt McVay's first year here, bringing in Whitworth and Sullivan, Watkins and Robey-Coleman. 11-5 and playoffs first the first time in 12 years.
But by those parameters above (Wagner and probably others leaving), he rebuilt his second year. Bringing in Talib, Peters and Cooks, letting Watkins, TruJo, Quinn, Ogletree and Tavon Austin go. 13-3 and Superbowl appearance!!!!
........his third year, letting Saffold and Sullivan go, bringing in Matthews, Weddle and signing Fowler (acquired in mid 2018); Mid season, trading away Peters and Talib, trading for Corbett and Ramsey. 9-7
........his 4th letting Fowler, Littleton, Matthews, Gurley, Robey-Coleman and Zuerlein go, trading Cooks, bringing in Leonard Floyd and A'Shawn Robinson; 10-6, 1-1 in postseason
........his 5th letting Everett, Hill and Johnson go, trading Goff and Brockers and bringing Stafford and DJax in. 12-5 SB Champs!!!!
.....and his 6th losing Whitworth to retirement, letting Corbett, SJD, Von Miller, DWill, Hekker and Obo walk, trading away Woods, trading for Hill, signing Robinson and Bobby Wagner. 5-12.
Injuries hampered the rebuild in 2019 and devasted it in 2022. Now beginning his 7th season there are going to be some more changes.. Another rebuild!!! Like every other year since he's been here. Big name guys leaving, some coming in. Assistant coaches being poached and fired, new ones coming in. It's the NFL. If you ain't trying to rebuild to some degree every year, you aren't looking out for your best interests.
Sometimes you rebuild and still need some help, which they've not hesitated to acquire mid season. Fowler, Ramsey, Corbett, Miller, OBJ, etc.
I suppose I could be considered one of the "optimists". But I think, looking over the comings and goings the last 6 years, it's not like I don't have good reason to be one.
