I do find it strange that both games are at the same time... seems pretty odd...
I think most involved would rather stagger the games but Fox probably couldn't clear 6-7 hours of commitments to do it

Thursday Night Fuckball is already sloppy, looking forward to seeing what Tuesday afternoon has to offer

Yes and odd that a westcoast game would start that early. Why not start the WFT game at 4 PST and Rams at 7 PST? Couldn't they air them both and rack in the extra $$ associated with NFL games as opposed to Judge Judy at that time?

Lots of Seahawks fans are mad about this. It's hilarious to watch the meltdown on their forums.

"The Seahwaks did nothing wrong, so why should the Seahawks be punished!? If the Rams can't field a team that is on them!".

Ummm.... so by that logic, if the Rams did nothing wrong either (and the Rams did not - everybody is fulled vaxxed), why should the Rams be punished by fielding a B squad? The sense of entitlement that the Seahawks are somehow entitled to a weakened opponent is insane.

"The Rams should have to forfeit like the NFL said teams would have to!"

The NFL never said that teams would have to forfeit if an outbreak occurred in a fully vaxxed roster. Holy straw man.

"If the Seahawks were in the Rams position the NFL would make them play. Big market bias!"

Wrong again. Other games have been postponed, as well.

Keeping my fingers crossed both teams can stay healthy and we get an entertain Rams W on Tuesday.
The Seahawks have two on covid protocol and I'm sure by Sunday we will hear of more. The entire Pro AND amateur sports world has to stop testing people without symptoms. Or the Olympic games will be a joke. And so will the SB NBA Championship and world series.

.

i don't get it. every report i've ever read says this strand is closer to the common cold than a killer virus.

why is the nfl doing this to teams?

.
This is just the inevitable adjustment period I think.

One thing some fans are not considering is that there's a lot of players who depend on those game checks. So re: the Seahawks fans all bitching and crying talk to your players because I am sure they were happy about it.

pretty sure the Seahawk players would still get a game check if Rams were forced to forfeit

Cool. That's good news. Extra days for McVay to make sure the team is prepared.... but not too much time. I like it a lot.

Hope this thread dies quickly or gets swallowed by the big covid thread!

I’m sure Seattle pushed for the game to be as early as possible Tuesday. Why would they want to make it a late night game and travel back home. Gives rams less of a home field advantage too.
