Nope. Not that he may not have wanted to (some don't).
He was still playing in LA when everyone called him washed up.
I remember the Rams running him outside the tackles instead of inside where his strength was. Stupid coaching/play calling.

He did also like a tweet from someone stating TG to TB. Its not concrete, but the clues are there. I would not be surprised at all if he was dealt today to TB. For our cap purposes, I do hope Cooks is with him. While I seriously doubt we get Godwin and a 1st back for them, I'd be happy enough with just the 1st. Godwin is gonna want big money at the same time that Kupp needs big money. That said, I'd be unbelievably elated to get that deal!

Wasn’t there a story that Todd was in no hurry to meet with Rams F.O.? Presumably to talk about restructuring his contract?

They don’t talk to him about that unless he’s his own agent which we know he isn’t.

Sort of where I am. The upside of clearing the books sounds good, but these are good players that need to be replaced.

So any trade doesn’t mean we’ve added to the 2020 team.

That's where I'm at. I really like both Cooks and Gurley... Not only as players but as people. I'm not really sure if Gurley is jaded with the Rams or not, it's hard to tell, but there did seem to be a change in attitude after last year. What that means, if anything, I have no clue.

That being said, if we trade both of them, as long as the return is good, I'm going to be okay. Cooks is a good dude, but this is a WR heavy class, so in theory we should be able to get a good replacement if need be. The hardest thing to replace about Gurley will be his pass protection though.

Losing Cooks and Gurley will require either going into next year with a weaker offense, or they will need to be replaced. Gurley will be harder to replace than people are thinking in my opinion.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm just posting what I'm seeing.

It seems pretty clear that Todd has been unhappy in his situation with the Rams since the beginning of 2019. He's a talented player, but new scenery seems to be in order.

Trolling, maybe?

It's not a matter of how I feel, it's just what he might be doing. Heck, I might do the same if I was in his position and subject to rumors as he has been, even if I knew the rumors were 100% bullshit.

No need to be offended.

I don’t think anyone is saying Todd is washed up or are ungrateful for what he has done to this team .. everyone is assuming that the rams want to trade Todd because he is washed up .. what if Todd want out of the org ? And he is too much of a class act to pull to pull trade me move

It’s a matter of return for investment. Neither played last year, like they were paid to. The problems both have are not likely to fix themselves. So another year of reduced production will make them even less tradeable.

So if they can trade them this season they shed the big contracts sooner and also get the most in return. It’s now or never imo. Unless Cooks miraculously overcomes concussion concerns and Gurley gets his cuts and acceleration back this year.

Which would you bet on happening?

i get really pissed when i read shit like that. gurley has been a beast for the rams, a home run stud in every definition of the term. how anyone can speak disparagingly about him amazes me. i hope he stays at the rams forever, with his well earned contract.

Agreed, and I'll add that I just bought a Gurley Jersey that would have to be put in storage with my Bradford and Austin replicas. :palm:
