That joint is gonna be da bomb when its finished...but WOW...I can see it being a fortune to go to a game. Parking, concessions, souvenirs could set you back bigtime being in Cali.

I read something that a crane collapsed on site. Hope this doesn’t delay construction.

Something is stinky.

My understanding is a LOT of the cost is due to earthquake regulations. Jerry didn't have that. I would have to think even though it isn't roofed in, the Whiners stadium probably had similar regs. Plus, the cost is more than just a stadium.

that's funny...I swear I was watching the Ravens game this weekend and I'm sure they said it was the Chargers stadium when they were showing Spanos on his phone in the luxury box...

Levi Stadium was 1.3 billion. No roof.

From what I've read the actual stadium cost for Kronke Land approaches 4 billion.

I'll give them an added billion for the roof and earthquake cost. But I still believe something is fishy.

Throw in earthquake proofing, regulation, Union cost increase, inflation and the biggest thing is the cost isn’t just for the stadium. This is the total property cost which didn’t happen with Dallas.

Called Texas vs California...

And some inflation. Probably also a bigger project.

True @EastRam , but remember, lots of retail and business spaces are planned. Along with a 6000 seat indoor arena. All stuff Santa Clara doesn't have

it;s not just a stadium they are building there, it is a whole "entertainment complex"

also 2 separate home locker rooms (that's a mill right there)

NFLN studios will be there also I think

Not sure how anything is “fishy”. It’s Stan’s stadium and he’s done loads of developments. He wants things a certain way. Also, from my understanding, much of the infrastructure is combined throughout the entire project and they have made upgrades to that as well. It’s not unusual to get approval on a base project and then decide to add to it or change aspects if you think you can improve your ROI.

I’m sure some of the over runs were not expected or in the original budget, but most are likely changes to the original scope.

I also read that the stadium have to lowered deeper into the ground because of air traffic laws since it stands right under planes routes to land/takeoff from LAX. Sure that wasn't cheap.
