Hooray!!!! This just made my day!! Thank God for Snead and McVay getting it done again! Finally, not just someone in the middle of the field but an All-Pro, HOF tackling machine!!
I was never persuaded by the take him or leave doubters. Wagner is a great player. He will bring a decisive improvement in the D imo. He will make everyone around him better.
I understand we have arguably greater needs at edge and CB, but you don't get a chance to sign 8x All Pro, Super Bowl defense winning players every day. Very glad he's a Ram as he should have been when he was drafted.

Now trade Taylor Rapp and a future draft pick for DE, like Mr. Hunter, sign Stephen Gilmore and call it good.

Maybe now AD doesn't have to worry about how he plays the run as much. Maybe this makes him more effective as a pass rusher.
Remember, some teams were trying to use his quick penetration against the Ram defense but now wagner is there to drop running backs at the line of scrimmage.

If they can pull that off, even I'd start to wonder about an investigation into our cap practices but I do expect them to add at least one more free agent of either the edge or CB variety
This is Morris valuing ILBs more and McVay realizing that despite having a worse defense around him, Wagner fucking OWNS the Niners

I believe Ram's BIG issues with 9ers Shannys run offense the last 3 years had a ton to do with what we seen this afternoon on this Wagner signing.
Think we will see his 9ers WR running over our MLB'er or dragging him downfield for 10 yards anymore?
Someone needs to check in on the 9ers top operational personnel.

The Rams aren't playing here....lol if they do coop and AD don't know if they have anyone else in mind but again AD is a special case but I'd be ok with redoing Jalen he still young enough but I digress just Coop and AD gets us a ton more money.
Now in a perfect world I'd love a top notchedge and a top corner and goes without saying Obj but that's nuts although with this front office nothing would shock me. However even if you just went (trust me I want Gilmore or Howard too)
Clowney and Callahan that's amazing and nobody should be able to run on us or pass but running no more gashing and talk about options with EJ and Wagz.

Now that we have gone from Wildcard to SB in the playoffs, 7-9 preached often you must win the teams in the division to get to the playoffs. He concentrated drafting for that with some pretty good success. Not good enough of course.
Those six games a year you have to win them to win the division. Wagoner does give us more power in where our weakness would be.
Never tire of these great days of being a Rams fan. This is a pretty damn good one.

Honestly at this point....just draft 4 CBs and 4 edge rushers and call it a day
While I was against paying Wagner over an Edge and CB the Rams still have opportunities to add to the defense. Let's see the real numbers.

Look at the Patriots from 2001-2018. They owned the AFC East. It was disgusting the teams the Bills, Jets and Dolphins fielded during that time frame.
