Yep. And like I said, he's only twenty-four. He's got a lot of potential. I definitely prefer him over Wolfe, who is around thirty and asking for a lot of cash.
This young man can take over games. He is an upgrade from Brockers in my book. This is what The Rams have needed for years.

When was the last time The Rams have had a DT like this guy ??? He is going to open up holes for Aaron Donald.

Is this the new norm? Overpaying for underachieving defenders while hoping the Oline gets better with the same players we had last year?

Or am I just turning into a crotchety old man?

For seventeen million over two years given to a twenty-four-year-old former second round pick? I'm fine with potential, but he's proven that he can stuff the run well - something we need - and has pass-rushing ability. He also is great at pass deflections; he led the league with seven one year.
We could of did the same route we did with Floyd and do a 1 year deal. But even if we did do you think he would be an 8.5 mil guy?

Wait until the draft, and if they don't address the O-line, then you can be a crotchety old man. ;)

You're prolly already a.... nvm, we love you Texas!!
It's all about putting the right pieces together. Donald has never had that rock in the middle to stack OG's & OC's so he can shoot gaps. With a sideline-to-sideline threat in FLoyd, who has the speed to plug the other side, and we're gonna eat.

A glance at Robinson's background shows lots of positives. Not sure what happened with him at Detroit?

Regardless, it appears to me that the Rams are restructuring the D to prioritize stopping the run at the edge and up the middle.

I think it's better than signing Wolfe to a long-term deal with more money. And they're at least addressing the defensive line with someone good against the run.

You been watching the last couple years during free agency? Go in any website and look at the signings threads almost all of them say the same thing "too much money". Salary cap keeps going up and up and in 2 years it's rumored to go up a whole lot more than it's been going up which has been impressive. The best thing is it's a 2 year deal which is another norm. How many 3 year $30 million deals have you seen? Hint it's a lot. Players know in a couple years the cap is going to spike a ton and they want to be free agents for that.

Snacks happened. Then Patricia let both of them go likely wants something different in the position. It's really strange that he had 2 good run defenders and is letting both of them hit free agency.

I don’t recall Detroit having a very good run D last year, am I missing something?

Sounds like our new DC wants versatility among linebackers and the DLine.

Holy shit, can you imagine if the Rams drafted Leki Fotu as a 3-4 end/nose? Imagine the possibilities...
