:alol: Yea my bad. That Troy guy LOL.I was never a fan of Troy Hill but he was much better than Tye Hill.
it makes me wonder sometimes, McVay is the best thing to happen the Rams since KW, but was/is it a Machiavellian twist of fate that Goff got the worst center in the NFL, who has since been cut to make an improvement for Stafford? Just wondering because i feel that Goff was treated rather shabbily at the end of his tenure.

it all comes down to Stafford, if he is who McVay thinks he is, good offseason, he gets hurt and we can kiss this year goodbye. One thing about Goff, the kid could take a beating and keep on playing. We shall seeI don't think we had a good offseason. *ducks*
i watched all the games, Blythe may be a great guy, but as a blocking center for a non-mobile QB he pretty much sucked, Goff was sprinting left or right all season as the middle of Rams offensive line collapsedSay What - train ?
There has been some bad Centers with The Rams.Tell me how a 2 time SuperBowl team would sign a Center that was so bad,or a RG that helped The Rams & Jared Goff go to a SuperBowl.
Blythe was okay as a RG because he had Sullivan helping him outi watched all the games, Blythe may be a great guy, but as a blocking center for a non-mobile QB he pretty much sucked, Goff was sprinting left or right all season as the middle of Rams offensive line collapsed

FWIW imo McVay may have overestimated the potential of the O last year and was very frustrated when it seemed to underachieve.
Anyway it seems clear now that McVay realized when acquiring Stafford that some positions needed to be improved around him to give him better support. Blythe out, Corbett in. Speed receivers in.
Media guys only know names. Reality is we have four average-above average offensive linemen and then a battle at RG headlined by a former 3rd round pick.
The drive destroying center we had is gone.
Problems on offense last year:
C - fixed
WR depth/speed - fixed
QB play - fixed
Great off-season for the offense
Problems on special teams:
Coach - replaced
Coverage - drafted several guys who they project to excel on special teams
Great off-season for special teams
Replacements needed for defense:
Hill - already on roster and draft pick
Ebukam - already on roster and draft pick
JJ - already on roster
Brockers - already on roster and draft pick
Fox - draft pick
For offense and special teams it was an outstanding off-season. We will go from bottom third of the league in both to top 10 in both which is a big swing.
On defense the question for me will be could we have found another EDGE project for $5 million AND signed JJ for the money we paid Floyd? For this decision to work out we will need Floyd to at least repeat his performance from last season.
Questionable off-season for the defense - but should still be a top 10 unit
I was never a fan of Troy Hill but he was much better than Tye Hill.
The only thing McVay cares about is winning. There was no kind of scheme going on.it makes me wonder sometimes, McVay is the best thing to happen the Rams since KW, but was/is it a Machiavellian twist of fate that Goff got the worst center in the NFL, who has since been cut to make an improvement for Stafford? I'm sorry what? I couldn't disagree more with this statement.Everything that has happened to Goff was brought on by himself and his lack
of 100 percent commitment to the team.
Very shallow & drinking your home made Kook-aide. Might need to let things ferment before things make a better image ?
You're certainly welcome to disagree.I'm sorry what? I couldn't disagree more with this statement.
No problem if you disagree (really not sure if you do or not based on your post) but man....read that last sentence again. I have no idea what you're trying to say.
Dont need to read a article to know if a player is giving 100% of his commitment to the team or not. If jg wasn't 100% for the team he wouldn't have played with a broken thumb when he was on the way out anyway. He had zero reason to do that for the rams looking back in hindsight. You're certainly welcome to disagree.
If you haven't read Lindsey's article, then I recommend it
