Matte helmet sucks. They could capitalize on their time to shine better with a glossy helmet. And I think that one dude said it's not indicative of the real logo because it has that neon shit all over it for the Vegas promotion.

I will survive if, and only if, this is a secondary logo, we gotta have a ram head as our primary, something that will kick ass on a hat, looks fierce, and lets you know the hammers coming. the LA horn thing does not do that, it’s foo foo bunny stuff.

Nah, it's not about that. I just think the logo is lazy and not representative of the Rams history. It looks like a product label from the 80s/90s to me. Almost reminds me of a neon Nike swoosh t-shirt from that Era. It does not conjure any Ram nostalgia nor familiar feelings for me.
I know I am an older fan (47), but I'm not "get off my lawn" old yet. I would guess that I am in the wheelhouse of Rams fans who have stayed with the team through two moves and countless losing seasons....and the brand identity means a lot to me. I think they can do better, that's all.
Like I said in another post, can anyone think of one instance where a team debuted a new logo only to use it for a single promotion? The colors or style (non neon) might change (the original confirmation tweet stated this) but I believe this is the logo the franchise came up with to replace the snail Ram. If you look at the 49ers and Dolphins logos confirmed for this same promo, they're variations of the teams' main logo.
I hope I'm wrong. And I'll be the first to eat crow because that logo is dogshit compared to what we have now. I guess we'll find out in a couple of weeks.
Can you remember the draft ever being in Vegas and the league trying to capitalize on that with this neon excitement? Every team is getting a special hat and logo for Vegas this year.
True, our logo is just more, "special' than others, lolz.

and the Neon version on that hat, just turned out ugly the way new era did it. Who knows.
And if that is the case, that could be the secondary logo, just due to them not wanting to have their big reveal of the new primary logo leaked. To me that makes the most sense.
I could be 100 miles from reality, but that is what I am going with.

All I've seen are teams getting a neon variation of their existing logo.
Not a "new" logo in the bunch.
