I am very hopeful K Will can replace Todd Gurley. But these 4 are some bad dudes for sure.

I was thinking " where the hell is Gurley? Ohhh yeah SJ cut the dreads!" lol

The info I'm about to share with you was shocking to me when I first heard... it'll probably shock you too...

None of those dreads you saw on SJ back in the day were grown on his head... they were weaved in. In other words... they were fake. Now they did look awesome, but when I found this out it kinda bugged me a little. Maybe because I do really admire me some real Rasta dreads I guess.

He was an All Time Warrior though and he made Ram Nation proud even during some of our darkest days.

Fullbacks are not people along with kickers.

I am stunned that anyone could put SJ as #1. Either you are younger and he was all you had as a kid in those terrible years, or you're crazy, haha.

I always saw him as a dude that loved being a big fish in a small, stagnant and filthy pond. His interviews back then just turned me off. I also resent his (IMO) lack of respect for THE GREATEST RAMS RB OF ALL TIME, MARSHALL FAULK!!

Look, I get it, we are supposed to love all of our former greats. SJax is different for me for some reason. Maybe it was the painfully shitty era of Rams football that he represents. Maybe it was his stupid jump cut/run into a lineman routine.... I dunno. But outside of his one amazing season, I just never loved the feller.

Disclaimer: I have been sick for a few days and am clearly cranky, so forgive me for my punchiness. :)

Go RAMS!!

The dark dark days of the Black Widow. We did end up with Marshall, but, sending JB to the Steelers due to a shit O-line, just rip my heart out.
It was Rich Brooks, the best argument Ive ever seen for retroactive abortion, wanting to use Bettis as a Fullback.
It seems a human being with any experience in anything, football, coaching, driving a car, working a minimum wage job....interacting and having to observe the world in any way....its seems any sort of living life form could not be that stupid.
But, there was ol Coach Brooks wanting to make Bettis a fullback.
Wherever he is I hope he is miserable.

Definitely not saying he is #1, but ....

Man, what a gross mischaracterization of a player that gave his everything to the franchise, despite consistently playing on some of the shittiest teams in the league and running behind atrocious O-lines. Find it hard to believe how a player averages 77 rushing YPG (1232 yards/yr) with 8 straight 1000 yard seasons by using a "stupid jump cut/run into a lineman" routine.

Can Bertelsen, Cappelletti and Cullen Bryant be their back-ups?!?
Cullen Bryant was a very good Ram... a solid back up RB/FB, a good KR...and a big one at that. Just a very solid all around good player.

SJ knew how to show respect. The day he broke Dickerson's Rams record he wore his goggles during warm ups.
SJ on a great team with a top O line, excellent passing game would have almost been unfair.

Dickerson, Faulk, Gurley, McCutcheon is my Rushmore. McCutcheon being the 1st back where I would check the sports page every week to see his stats and where he was at. 1,000 yard guy back when they only played 14 games. Got the playoff rushing record too. Was always in good company with OJ and Foreman, 2 other great backs in the mid 70s.

Jackson compares to Laurinaitis, sure he has a Rams record but on bad teams that I'd like to forget. Emmit leads all RBs but he is not the best RB of all time. Numbers based on longevity.

.

Nobody is bumping TG30.

I don't care how many years they played for the Rams. Like faulk, Gurley was the engine of an offense that revolutionised the nfl.

Agreed, Bettis was a "Steeler". Sucks, but he is.
I concur with this top 4. I didn't know McCutcheon, but every time I saw Gurley touch the ball, I felt anticipation.
Top RB regrets --
1. Trading Bettis
2. Gurley's health
3. Jackson's wasted years
4. Giving up on Trung Candidate too soon!!
5. Tre Mason too!!!!

In 2006 The Rams (Shaw & crap GM) had a choice to make.
Wish The Rams signed SJ39 to a long term contract & went away from Marc Bulger.
-Draft JAY CUTLER(Ngata)

Then in 2008 as well. Matt Ryan should’ve been The PICK !!
Atlanta was going through the Mike Vick thing & needed a QB !!

I wanted The Rams to trade SJ39 to Dallas for 2 first RD picks. That was a rumor on the table to have All Pro RB with Tony Romo.

Just think Matt Ryan & Duane Brown.Matt Forte or 2 other RB’s.

Anyway SJ39 should’ve been taken care of or traded.
