It's a fun topic and there are no wrong answers.

But here's what I don't want The Ramily to overlook- we need to recognize and truly appreciate our blessed RB history. I don't believe that the majority of the teams in the league have had the benefit of having even 1 RB in their history as good as any of those 4 Ram studs. And here we have 4, with some arguing about including even a few more Ram RBs.

I don't believe there's any NFL team with a list of 4-6 RBs who can even come close to matching the greatness of ours. The Rams are the GOAT when it comes to having game changing RBs. I don't think any other team even comes close.

Give Thanks my Bruddas and Sistas.

So true -- we gotta be thankful & remember these incredible RB's who weren't just the best RB's on the Rams -- in their primes they were arguably the best RB's in the whole league.

I’m a Rams homer but I’m declaring him the BEST NFL RB from the AZ game his rookie year until he collapsed at the end of 2018.
OK ... but then you are giving Gurley four years (not 3) because that was 2015.

I am thinking 2017 and 2018, despite the collapse at the end of 2018.

S-Jax!!!!! And Dickerson, Faulk, and Gurley!

Maybe if he stays with us long enough, K-Will could bump out Gurley.
When I see Kyren running in traffic, making quick stop & go cuts to avoid & elude defenders, he reminds me of Marshall running on slow motion.

Good list but it does forget some of the greats from the past.

I'd swap out Jackson for Bettis
That is crazy talk. You could make a case for SJ being # 1 on the Rams list. He is not though.
Best pure running back, ED
But Faulk in his prime was the best football player I ever seen.
Luv me some Bettis, but you can make a case that Steven Jackson was better period.
Bettis played 3 years for us. SJ, 9 years of greatness for a very bad team. If he had Pittsburgh,s team and O line IMO his numbers would be much greater.
I seen him up close, Bradford,s first game. He was our whole team. At least that is what the Raider fans all around me were saying.
Lawrence does deserve some consideration. BUT, as noted before, he was not the best RB in the NFL for 3 years so Gurley deserves the spot.
The RAMS have the best tradition/history of running backs in the NFL.

Rams RB Mount Rushmore starts with SJax IMO. He was the only reason to watch the Rams for YEARS:

Rams franchise records

  • Most career rushing yards (10,138)[85]
  • Only Rams player to record 150 rushing yards and 100 receiving yards in same game (December 24, 2006, against the Washington Redskins)[86]

NFL records

  • Most consecutive seasons with 4+ rushing touchdowns (11) – tied with Emmitt Smith[citation needed]
  • Most consecutive seasons with a 40+ yard run (11)[citation needed]
  • Most rushing attempts by a player without a 60+ yard run (2,764)[citation needed]
  • Most consecutive touches without a fumble (unofficial) – (870) from November 13, 2011, through end of career[citation needed]
  • Only player with 1,400 yards rushing and 800 yards receiving in a single season (2006)

2016 was some of his greatest work.

A lesser rb would have had negative yardage for that season playing for that shit hc and oc combo, then throw in an awful oline.

Had he stayed in horns I would agree. But his ending here was so quick that the exit overshadowed the production for me.

I might too if Bettis had a legitimate career as a Ram. Wasn’t it about 3 years? I know his last year he didn’t get a ton of carries. Essentially 2 years of the battering ram.
I will always despise Rich Brooks for his role in all that. The fucker. Those were hard days man.

I was in New Orleans for a convention in 1995 and bought a Bettis jersey, then the next thing I knew, he was gone. I was on the Riverwalk and wondered why they had a Bettis jersey. He wasn't from Louisiana. He didn't play for LSU or Tulane. But he was in the NFC West and so were the Saints at that time. But I got it. He was MVP of the Sugar Bowl in 91.
