This is the nfl today - the days of completely dominating teams for the entire season are over.

Tampon Bay got beat 38-3 last year one game...

3-1 Green bay got beat 35-3 by new orleans earlier this season...

week to week anything can happen - i was worried about the cardinals they are much improved.

but they will get owned before the season is out just like everyone else.

Taylor Rapp and David Long Jr are liabilities in the secondary.
Sean McVay abandons the run even when it's working.
Matthew Stafford seems to lock in on Cooper Kupp even more than Goff used to do.
100% correct...

The Rams might be able to get JR Reed back later. He brings the wood when he hits!

Rookie Robert Rochell should be looked at as a replacement for David Long quickly. Long needs to have his snaps cut in half.

DC Morris has been praising Rapp since TC, which sent off alarm bells with me. IMO Rapp is @ his best a reserve strong safety. I would think about moving Fuller up into Rapp's safety position. Get Terrell Burgess prepared or Ju Ju Hughes if Burgess is still having foot issues roaming back in the deep zones in place of Fuller.

Anybody still think this bend but don’t break defense is the answer?

Morris’ defense was the wrong answer from the get go, I pray he adjusts and gets it together.

As many stated before, against average offenses that defense works. Against very good offenses it doesn’t work very well and has a low percentage to succeed.

Hope him and McVay hash it out together before Thursday
If McVay will ship his players out of town, he’ll be on this defense immediately.

All the focus on Morris feels misplaced. Yes, he sucked but who didn’t? Did the offense play today?
There is plenty of blame for everyone here. Are you under the impression that only one person can have a shitty game?

Stafford is supposed to be the leader and he just tanked in a huge divisional showdown. There's nobody defending that shit. Not that I've seen here.

And what was disappointing too is the full unit failure with the drops, penalties, turnovers. But even those failures they moved the ball and just fucked up drive after drive with dumb shit and also with the Cards making plays.

McVay too. He got outcoached pretty good today, it was obvious with those DBs sitting on his route combos.

Defense was beyond fucking terrible though. They played bad and then they unraveled.

3-1 not where we want to be..........Fuck the Cards.

It's not the players, it's the coach. What happened to the cover 4? Granted we can't do that with Long replacing Troy Hill and Rapp replacing III.

Learned two things today. One the season is over. Two I'm too happy full of sunshine and unicorns and not negative enough.
I have always associated you with sunshine and unicorns OS. :laugh4:

I never thought that I would ever disagree with McVay's play calling this much in one game. The passing game wasn't clicking and we just kept passing even when the running game was working.

We stopped running the ball and started the game with our soft def. that NEVER tightened up.
It looks like they started the game in prevent defense and never changed up.

Ridiculously soft coverage.

And I don't know if that was from the coaching plan or pure ineptitude.

like the offense was not firing like usual...

but last year we wont this game 18-7

The defense was baaaaaaaaaaaad people.
Murray was a cripple in that game. That was a factor.

Otherwise yeah, the D sucked today.

Very good QBs are still human. Stafford didn't deliver today. Hopefully, this game was just a hiccup. The greater concern for me is Raheem Morris. I'm not liking what I see of the scheme. I am hoping we'll see something better as the year goes. Because right now, it is a very uninspiring scheme. I've been especially disappointed in how little he has done to try and free up Donald to make an impact.

He didn't even go to the running game to slow the game down after the Cardinals were up.
How many three-and-outs did he give them with nothing but pass plays early in the game for them to come back red hot and adrenalized and burn our ass?
3?
4?
Easily the worst game calling I've seen out of ANY head coach in a while.
