Jets showed the NFL world how to neutralize the All-Pro Strong Safety Adams effect. Pass & pass some more....& the pass again......leaving the hard-hitting strong safety to mostly being used on blitzes.

Adams will have a serious impact on the opponent's offense if they run the ball constantly. Adams is more than capable in pass defense but his run support is one of the best in the NFL today.

Caps not dropping to $175 million more likely it stays at $198 million. That leaves us with plenty of cap space. Not saying there won’t be cap casualties but the floor of $175 million was put in as a fail safe in case there was no 2020 season.
Well then we are right at the cap now. At $175M I think we were $18M over. So still some manufacturing to keep some players.

If it stays the same before any moves we're $6 million under plus a roll over from this year of another $8.5 million so we're fine. If Big Whit retires which is a possibility that saves us another $6 million. A'Shawn won't save us anything and Brockers and Havenstein are both about another $5+ million. We're fine on cap space going forward, we bit the bullet this year with Cooks and Gurley. Just need to draft well.

Well right now $17M over, that's including the $8M of carryover from this year with a $175M cap.

So lets say it is $198M, then $6M under, but that is with only 42 players under contract... The 9 players added to get to just 51 will wipe that $6M out.

Plus there are always bonuses that kick in, restricted FAs that have to be tendered etc..

So they will have some work to do.

The Rams had Week 9 off after a difficult loss to the Dolphins the week prior. A few players got banged up in that game, including Darrell Henderson and Cooper Kupp, and their injuries have lingered into this week of practice.

Henderson sat out Wednesday’s practice with a thigh/quad injury, while Kupp was limited with what Sean McVay called a wrist issue; he’s listed with an oblique injury, however. He was seen flexing his wrist during the game against Miami, and it still seems to be bothering him.

David Edwards also missed the first practice of the week with an abdomen injury, which is something to monitor. McVay said Joe Noteboom will be activated to the 53-man roster this week, so at least L.A. will have depth at the position.

Wednesday's Injury Report
Another important NFC West test comes vs. the Los Angeles Rams this Sunday, and getting players healthy could be a critical factor for Seattle, particularly in the secondary. While most of the names on Wednesday's injury report were consistent with what we've seen in recent days and weeks, the list is still 21 players long. From a glass half full perspective, nine of those were full participants in practice. Still, the number is significant when compared to the Rams who only listed four names on Wednesday's report.

Cornerbacks Shaquill Griffin (concussion/hamstring) and Quinton Dunbar (knee) did not practice, and decisions on both players for this Sunday sound unlikely to be made until later this week. "He's running some. We'll see how he progresses through the week," head coach Pete Carroll said about Griffin during his Wednesday press conference. "If he has a chance to get back, we won't know until the end." The Seahawks do expect to receive some help in the secondary with the return of defensive back Ugo Amadi, who missed the last two games with a hamstring injury. Another boost may come in the form of defensive tackle Damon Harrison, signed to Seattle's practice squad in early October. "Really good chance he'll be out playing," Carroll said of Harrison, who is the likely option if defensive tackle Bryan Mone, nursing an ankle injury suffered on Sunday, is unable to go. "I'm counting on it. Hopefully he has a good week and we put it together right and it'll work out."

Running back is another position to monitor as the week progresses. Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde have both missed the previous two games, and their status for Sunday's game remains uncertain, though Carroll suggested Carson was closer to returning than Hyde. "Chris is ahead of Carlos coming back. He's going to run today and tomorrow and see how he handles that. I can't tell you anything more than that right now. I wish I could," Carroll said. Another notable member of the offensive unit not practicing today was center Ethan Pocic, out with a concussion. That would be significant most weeks, but especially as the Seahawks prepare to face All-Pro and two-time Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald.

Whitworth, Floyd pop up on Rams injury report Thursday
Cameron DaSilva Thursday , November 12, 2020

The Los Angeles Rams held their second practice of the week on Thursday in advance of this weekend’s game against the Seattle Seahawks and there are a few players with injury concerns.

Darrell Henderson is on the right track, returning to practice in a limited capacity. David Edwards also returned and was a full participant as he continues to recover from an abdomen injury.

Leonard Floyd (knee) and Terrell Lewis (shoulder) both popped up on the injury report Thursday. Floyd was held out of practice with soreness in his knee, while Lewis was a limited participant. Cooper Kupp remained limited with oblique and wrist ailments.

Sean McVay said Henderson is expected to be fine for Sunday and has maintained that Kupp will be able to play, too.“Yeah, he’s going to be able to play,” McVay said of Henderson before practice. “He’s practicing today. He was a little bit banged up, but the big man is feeling good. He’ll be ready to go. So, unless there’s something that happens between (now and) game time, do not expect him to miss and expect him to be a big part of what we’re doing on Sunday.”

McVay said Andrew Whitworth’s back tightened up after Wednesday walk-thru, which held him out of practice Thursday.

Having both our most talented edge rushers unhealthy leaving the Ghost Samson Ebukam to carry the mantle is terrifying.

Injury Report 11/13: Terrell Lewis and Leonard Floyd questionable for Rams-Seahawks but expected to play
Nov 13, 2020 at 03:26 PM
Stu Jackson

Though outside linebackers Terrell Lewis (shoulder) and Leonard Floyd (knee) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks (1:25 p.m. pacific time, FOX), both are expected to play, Rams head coach Sean McVay told reporters during a video conference Friday.

Additionally, running back Darrell Henderson Jr. (quad) and wide receiver Cooper Kupp (oblique) are both good to go. Both were full participants Friday and do not carry an official injury designation heading into the contest, per Friday's injury report.

McVay also reiterated that safety Jordan Fuller will be elevated to the 53-man roster this weekend and is expected to play, and that defensive lineman A'Shawn Robinson will make his Rams debut.

Below are the final injury reports for both teams.

Seattle is in very deep trouble on the injury front. Not a pretty picture for them.

It appears their starting cbs won't play and their new starting center hasn't played a down in a regular season NFL game. And he gets to line up across from Aaron Donald and A'Shawn Robinson. Good luck with that.

Doesn't guarantee a Rams win but Seattle will be at a huge disadvantage.

It's a shame... Guess they have to play anyway.
