Cam Akers got a full dose of carries last week against the Cardinals, attempting a career-high 21 runs. Sean McVay went right back to him against the Patriots on Thursday night, too, giving him the start at running back in Week 14.
Akers opened the night with a 35-yard carry, then on the second drive, ripped off runs of 14 yards, 9 yards, 6 yards and 11 yards to keep the Rams moving down the field. At the end of the first quarter, he had 84 rushing yards and a 16-yard reception, giving him 100 yards from scrimmage.

His 84 yards on the ground are the most by a Rams player since Marshall Faulk in 2001. They’re also the second-most allowed in the first quarter by the Rams in the last 20 years. Melvin Gordon had 93 in 2017, but Akers came close to topping that number.

The Patriots had no answer for the rookie running back as he continually gashed the defense with long run after long run. Akers has never rushed for 100 yards, but he’s poised to do so tonight.

Can we talk about Goff getting rated higher then Akers? :p JK too Early? Love u guys, calm down! :fistbump::)

But on a serious note, Young has been maybe our weakest linebacker and he really played great even outside the pick 6. Lots of great positioning, tackling and bringing pressure. If Young keeps playing like that we are going to be dam hard to beat.

Same with Hill, he has now strung together some really solid games after struggling badly early in the season. Maybe you guys remember his major struggles in the slot and getting rated near the bottom of PFF ratings. The long 4th down vs the Cardinals he gave up was frustrating but he has made more than his share of plays in recent games.

Ebukam got rated really high 87.7? That is weird. I may have to rewatch the game. I don't remember him playing that well. These PFF ratings can be headscratchers sometimes though.

Read something that this was AD's worst year with PFF ratings and he's still the top player in the league :D
I just hope the league doesn't pull some BS again and give the DPOY to someone that has more sacks but no where near the same impact on the game. Like TJ Watt. Not that awards are everything but that's just disrespectful to someone whos draws double and triple teams and does it from an Interior lineman spot so often.

doesn't matter who those fucking idiot media judges give it to. everyone knows AD is the best player in the league.

Watt has the inside track.....leading in the stat categories.
Don’t mean he’s better of course.

remember back when AD was holding out and so many people wanted to trade him because a DT can't affect a game so much and isn't worth all that money? ahhh, good times.

.

I don't think there were many, I recall countless posts on Aaron Donald with "Pay the Man."
