In his presser he mentioned the punt was low and "not where we wanted it". I wonder if there was a concern that there were communication issues between Blackburn and McVay or Blackburn and his players?

Right call. We have the worst special teams unit in the NFL. Three of our four losses were arguably caused by special teams (PHI, SF, and SEA). (For those who have forgotten, we went to OT against SF because Karty's PAT was blocked earlier in the game.)

Wow. A well deserved firing.

Rasheed shaheed said postgame, “We’ve been focused on that left return all week. We knew they had kind of a weak point with their special teams.”

If Special Teams are so bad that opposing players are bragging about how to exploit it... it's time for a change.

On kickoffs, the Rams were giving the Seahawks the ball at the 35 every time because they didn't want to risk a return. And our kick return game has been shitty too, rarely making it to the 30 or even the 25.

Kotwica is bound to be better because Blackburn was abysmal.

Weak spot, aka, Ronnie Rivers on coverage over there.

I'm baffled that our best KRs are Rivers and Whittington. Most of the time, they run themselves into the coverage team, instead of finding a crease. And they're both so slow that even if they find a crease, they're getting caught.

Oof. At this point of the season that shouldn't be a thing.

I guess they removed Corum from KR duties because he's become so valuable on offense.

To my eye, Whittington has some decent speed. From what I saw, the blocking looked like shit.
