Yeah man. But if I'm hearing this correctly by Thursday if these guys test negative twice they clear protocol. Lets hope they all get back before Saturday
They would probably have to be false-positive tests for that to happen.

No it's just if they're vaxed
If they've had a positive test, they still have to have 2 negative tests within 24 hours, like what just happened to Higbee.. but they think his was a false positive.

The vaxxed thing matters most when it comes to what's considered high risk close contact.

List includes the ones placed last week though IIRC Higbee is off the list now.

They just added Tyler Hall from squad today! He's already on COVID list?

Sheesh.

I think they should take 2 tests every time, and process them through different channels, and only count the session as a positive if BOTH come out positive. This way, we don't have the Higbee issue of players losing the chance to play from a FALSE positive. Odds are way less that BOTH tests would result in false positives...

STOP THE FLIPPING TESTING. We've lost our collective minds with this virus.

Did they test the 80K fans in the stands or the 15K in bars by the stadium after before the game??

This needs to stop its not good for the NFL its not good for anyone.

Tired of this...

I find it strange that posters are saying they should relax the rules because players are less effected. For one, if there is an outbreak, putting players on the list keeps them from the facility and travel.. so stopping spread to tons of other potential people, not just players. Second, ask von Miller about if it effected him. He's on the record saying it took months for him to feel right again. He has asthma. Lots of players have potential other risks.. just like the normal populace.

If I'm the Rams I'd be about to have a fucking Covid party for all the players, lose the game vs Seattle with street scrubs, then hopefully be ready to move forward with a "resistant" roster thereafter. :laugh4:

I can't say too much due to the rules here, but this is getting ridiculous, and the NFL really needs to do something to change up its Covid protocols because it is going to damage the product on the field. I don' t know of a single player that has died of Covid, and I'm not sure if any has even been hospitalized, and now we learn that Odell played a pretty good game last night, with Covid, and with everybody obviously unaware he had it.
For these athletes the vaccine is more of a threat than covid.

Agreed. What we're seeing now is why political parties and associated shitbags need to stay the fuck away from medical decision making. The government (both parties) doesn't need to be all in this shit fumbling around fucking things up and making life harder for citizens and business owners.

It's been out of control for some time now tbh. And there is no end in sight. Maybe pro sports players can help turn the tide of public opinion though and get people to wake up. Or so I hope.

The fans in the stands? They probably do a temperature check; that's what happened with MLB and NHL.

The fans in the bars by the stadiums don't count; they're not in the stadium participating in the game or in the crowds.

What wouldn't be good is a player/coach infecting an immuno-deficient player/coach or a player/coach at high risk (diabetes, cancer survivor, etc.) and having them die.

I hate that Covid has become a part of our lives as well, we have to consider well-being first and foremost. Players and coaches are people too.

Here's my a-political opinion.

I care not if you are pro/con vax, to play in the NFL you should be vaccinated and show your proof/card, just like in restaurants.

THEN, skip the testing and these stupid rules and just accept that everyone in the NFL will get the 'rona, but very few if any will have issues. Just like a freaking flu. They are vaccinated after all. It is proven to be less severe.

Again, not political, just common sense so I can watch the freaking NFL with full participation for each team.

Totally agree man. Couldn't have said it better myself. I think MOST people agree with you. But unfortunately the NFL brass does not.
