Evans might well get an offer from some team due to his draft status. But I'm ok with that.

The Rams drafted three players in the 7th round, and all three made the team (two, Funk and Garrett, may very well be on the active roster on opening day).

I'm betting the odds of that are pretty low.

I would cut Obo and bring back Lawler. I was a huge Obo fan, but I'm sick of being dissapointed.

I have to agree with you here. Obo was a guy I liked from pre-draft but at this point I think I'm just holding on and hoping I'm right about him. But he seems like he would give us less than Lawdog.

Only thing here though is that Law missed last season. So both are sort of injury prone. I do have to admit though that I'm getting that sinking feeling with Obo.

This safety group is the best I can remember in horns. Both Reed and Hughes were excellent across the preseason games. Impressive.

I thought 4 years was the requirement to be 'vested', ... Evans only has 2 years served. jmo.

The play of the two guys on the bottom in preseason is the difference for me. They really looked good. Hughes in particular breaking on the ball and making stops I gotta say I was really worried he'd get cut. I think both Hughes and Reed could start for us without all that much dropoff. Big difference from last year.

When Shelton returns I think Anchrum will clear waivers and be signed to the PS. When Hekker is added I think they will look at Okoronkwo, or Hughes as release candidates.

Shelton was placed on COVID reserve list today so he is technically still on the roster and not taking up a spot. So he may still make final roster. Agreed though I hope both he and Meredith stick around either on roster or PS.
