Jamir Jones is an interesting signing. IMO he might be looked at as Ogbo's replacement as he has similar traits and speed but he's also a bit taller which is an advantage. He's definitely a developmental prospect who has some traits to play as an early-down. He's not particularly fast but if he strengthens and improves his technique he could have value as a rotational DE.

IMO Okoronkwo has been a disappointment in his development. He's been injury-prone, and really continues to rely solely upon his bullrush with no counters and average hand play. He lacks the speed and length to get around OT's and has shown he's weak at the POA. Jamir could be the next man up in that regard so it wouldn't surprise me if Okoronkwo is released instead of being signed to the roster.

Okorowonko has been generally disappointing… and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was released right now… I would be SHOCKED.
He’s been in the system, knows his role and has shown flashes…

Rams aren’t releasing him when they’ve just lost 75% of the snaps at that position.

Maybe he was talking about Ernest Jones?
Could be, but I don't think Ernest Jones has the body type for OLB. I'd like to see him on the field tho. But with Troy playing the way he is, he's not going to get much action.

I'm okay with this signing and it makes sense.

Honestly, I already miss Justin Hollins and we haven't even played a game without him yet.

Sorry, I meant that Morris was talking about Ernest getting more playing time at ILB. At least that's how I took what he was saying. Hoping Jamir Jones can surprise and contribute at OLB.
