Yeah the over reaction to the ST is pretty absurd around here some times. Last I checked, kicking was part of special teams and Gay is 31/32 in FG, and 43/44 on XP.
So lets look at today's tape:
Buddy Howell returns a punt for a TD
Gay goes 6/6 on kicks
Hekker drops another one inside the 20 while averaging 54 yrds
Vikings only avg 5 yards per KO return
But I guess the ST were awful because they tried a pooch kick? Gimme a break....
Only coaches not coming back next year are guys who get promotions elsewhere

I'm glad the shit I yell at the TV doesn't end up in the GDT. So in general I at least try not to criticize the insanity lol. We all lose our shit I am sure watching the games from time to time.
Why would any Rams fan ever lose their shit watching our Rams play? We have a rich history of success even with shit players and coaches.

I will say that him vs Goff is no contest IMO. He is a much better QB than Goff. But he's a gunslinger and has games where he goes apeshit trying to force throws and McVay needs to keep that stuff contained.

Whether he's going to be able to win us a Super Bowl, we will see. But I suspect that some fans, to include yourself, will feel like we won it in spite of Stafford even if we get it done. So once again will simply agree to disagree with you.
Not at all... I realize he is more talented, but it drives me crazy that he doesn't play smart. Thus his effectiveness is diminished as to what it should be.

QBs like Goff throw it away when nothing is there more often then not, but you rarely see Stafford do that and a lot of his mistakes happen when he has all day to throw and he still forces it into coverage.

Not only that, but when its 3rd and 3 and he goes for a 30 yrd pass into triple coverage, that is dumb. Take the check down and keep the chains moving.

Those issues will likely be a big reason why this team doesn't get it done in the playoffs if that ends up being the case.

I don't think so. You're revisiting Goff for no reason other than your own desire to be right. Some things never change.

Let's talk this game.

First INT was all on Stafford, he did not see Barr in his drop. Forced the ball when he got pressure from Shelton's defender.

Second INT was Stafford being hit as he tried to hit Jefferson deep.

Third INT was tipped at the LOS.

His miss to Odell on the intermediate route pissed me off. That was probably 7 if it's on time and money.

Read this board and some posters namely yourself and it sounds like he just had the worst game a Rams QB has ever had. But truth is he made a big mistake, missed a few open throws, and had some guys drop or not come through on some other throws.

I'm not buying your BS dude. Hope you and Goff are happy in your future together.

To be fair, Stafford got away with some "shoulda been" picks before the Vikings finally started coming down with them. Stafford could have had 5 easy.
He is an awesome talent but he definitely has some bad tendencies with regard to his ints this year.

His pick that was tipped? He was throwing to a triple covered Higbee. Had that not been tipped it might have been a pick 6 (every QB gets lucky sometimes though)

Yes and I criticized him for those things Bad. What I don't like is over the top stupidity/overreactions.

Also if we're gonna count "should have" INTs then we should count "should have" TDs too. That first one to Odell and the one to Kupp (that was in triple coverage btw) that was actually placed right on him but Kupp couldn't bring it in.

The difference between Stafford and Goff is that when Stafford has a bad game it's because he gets too aggressive and overdoes the contested throws. When Goff has a bad game it's because he melts down and can't get through reads or anticipate blitzes or pressure for shit.

No excuses for Stafford but he did seem like he had happy feet and when his happy feet are like the roadrunner it seems he struggles but my main point was didn't seem like he totally trusted the make shift O-line.....hence the happy feet.
As I said earlier if you have to throw the 1st pick to Barr then chuck it deep to obj as he looked open and it would have been 50/50 but if picked like a punt.

Ill say that Stafford is more of a gunslinger - and Goff does play more conservative... but still turns it over as much or maybe even more.

So ill take the dude that throws touchdowns and makes big plays over the guy that plays it safe but still turns it over.

Cant believe you just got me to talk about Goff in this thread. - ugh fucking ugh.
