Patchwork OL was better than expected. D played Great. I figured we would probably lose this game with everything going against us.

2 Practices in the last 14 days (No Wonder Stafford was rusty)
Basically a Thursday game for us after playing Tuesday, but an extra day of prep for Min (and Minnesota being allowed to practice)
Away Game with the home team desperately needing a win (in a loud, tough place to play)
Covid wrecking the roster the past 3 weeks
A patchwork O-Line
3 Turnovers (-2 in the game)

Yet they won, leading wire-to-wire. I know lots of folks on this board will complain about this game, and Stafford, and all the usual gripes; but man, even with all that, they were clearly the better team.
A sign of a well coached team for sure. Unbelievable amount of adversity thrown at this team this month after going winless the month before yet they are 4-0. This year might be McVay's best job yet.

Could be one of the best signings of the year.
It has been since Pharoh Cooper since the Rams have had a true return threat.
Powell definitely deserves a game ball.
He's not a lightning fast guy... like Cooper.. but is very, very aware and has great lateral quickness and is very decisive. He's been a godsent.

Agree with so much of that.

I won't give Stafford the out, because we've seen that out of him before and it's more than rust, imo.

But.. that OL??

ALARIC JACKSON?????

Powell is the 2nd post game presser and love the kid! He says he did the easy part calls out a couple guys with great blocks and says the TD is all from their effort he just caught the ball and ran behind the blocks.

I'll say this for Stafford - made some good throws on those last two drives to get points.

We also went from 2/7 on 3rd downs to 7/14 I think.

Seemed like in addition to Stafford being off, the Vikings seemed to decide to prevent the big plays and make us dink and dunk down the field.

Great job by McVay to adjust and Stafford for making a few plays when he just didn't have it today
Zim did a great job in this one. Stafford was trying to hero but to McVay's cred he called a great game and got the win. A great run game will allow for resetting 9 when he goes off script.

This was a huge win.

Shootout to this 6 minute drive in the 4th taking the clock from 8 to 2 minutes and exhausting the Vikings TOs.
What a weird game, but we beat a talented team, who is kind of a nemesis, on the road, by 7 pts, despite giving them 3 INTs, that is what deep playoff teams.

It's a win with a struggling Matt Stafford. McVay can't help himself throwing early in the second half with the lead and the run game doing great.

Some good things. The Rams found a punt returner in Powell. Reeder played faster. Gaines impacting the game. Howard filled in nicely for Jones. Sony Michel continues pounding the defense. The offensive line moving the defensive line with backups filling in. AD being AD. Higbee making his presents felt coming back.

The Rams keep winning despite the C Virus issues with little practice and key players still out.

I find it interesting to see how others live and die with each play. Some are VERY passionate!
Rams get 1 yard on 1st and 10 - they suck!!

Reeder you suck!! Reeder nice tackle. Good job Reeder!!

Yeah all QBs struggle time to time, fans tend to see it more with their own QB too. With 9 the problem is his aggression on deep reads in particular makes it worse when he's off target on throws. But he brings high upside too. So keep working with him to play within the scheme, keep using that run game to get him settled down when necessary, and keep playing good defense and we're in this shit.

I'm excited man. Vikes this week were a tough out. They are a wildcard type playoff team and were playing balls out and we won in spite of our QB coming out cold on the road in a tough place. Lot of positives here IMO. :clinkingbeer:
