That was a tough one, but it was closer than it should have been. I think we all expected a high scoring game.

Yep...that hustle to bring down Hutch was a big deal!!! I will say it happened because he released from Hutch a bit early which telegraphed the TE screen. You could tell by the way Stafford looked at him. When they ran it again later it worked out fine because he did it right.
This felt like a playoff game. Teams need to be tested like this before the playoffs and find ways to win these hard-fought games because this is what it will be like in the playoffs. You want to go into the playoffs healthy and a team that is battle tested.

Well, we saw them putting Fergie in the slot a few times yesterday. I'm thinking without Adams, McVay is gonna really work Fergie out at WR some for Seattle as well as the rest of the season. Fergie is that versatile, then you have Mumpfield, and Whittington...so I think McVay can work that out.
Let's not forget Tutu, who's not a big target...but how big was his catch late in the 4th??? I think you have to use his size and speed more in screens and underneath routes.
There are 3 more games before the playoffs start...and we just gotta hope the Adams hamstring pull is one that can get him back at least by the playoffs!!!

Ya he saves his brain dancing for going for two point conversions that are not needed and 4th and 5's on his side of the field. lol
From the 4:14 mark of the 1st quarter-on, Stafford was 19-of-27 for 311 yards, with 2 TDs and 7 scoring drives ... That's Elite, even against a below-average defense.

Not that I would label the Parkinson signing as 'desperation' but the Rams were very thin at TE at the time.
Higbee had suffered a serious knee injury in the playoff loss to the Lions, and would not play until December. All the Rams had at TE were Hunter Long, Davis Allen coming-off his rookie season and @Loyal's favorite player ... Nikola Kalinic.
