Forgot to ask earlier - haven't seen mention of Shelton's apparent snapping issues. There were a few high snaps, plus at least two that Stafford had to reach for on the side (including fumble that we recovered). Does he have a hand issue or other, or just a bad day? Twitchy looking at Lions D coming at him?

I like the all bone look. I don’t like the royal top with the bone bottom. The royal and sol look so good together.

That one snap he never should have fumbled. But the other, that was a good play to keep that from going behind him...

Ugh. Forgot about those. Worrisome for sure. I don't recall Shelton having a history of that?

One of those high snaps could have changed the whole game if it went as bad a it could have.
They need to get a handle on that.

Landman was on the field for 100% of the D plays. That has to be the first time this year he has played every snap.

I expected more DBs playing LB this game to keep up with Gibbs. It obviously worked. Shows what I know.

I think he has multiple games he played 100% of the snaps.

I also noticed that Witherspoon wasn't playing vs the Lions. Anyone have any news on him?

Land Man and Speights are both really good against the run. Kinda slow in coverage, but you can't be perfect at everything.

Spoon was inactive.
No Landman in all but 4 games played around 60%. Eagles and the first SF game about 80% 2 others around 35% and then this game 100%.

So this was a big change in personnel strategy. I would really like to know what the thinking was. Interesting.

Rams looked awesome vs the Cards, but one notable exception was Witherspoon-- his coverage was noticeably terrible in that game.

Akhello has always been inconsistent, IMO. Can look great in one game and terrible the next. Hope he steps it up for the playoffs. But I thought his benching vs Lions was well deserved.

Think it may have a lot to do with Lake being out and then McCollough changing roles from dimebacker to perhaps some nickel/safety work.
