It’s Game Day!

The GDT is a live thread tradition here at ROD.

While we all get fired up watching the game, please remember one of our core principles; we always aim to show respect for our team.

Despite the emotional highs and lows watching a game, we will moderate this thread with that in mind, however please refrain from name calling. This applies to players, the Rams organization, and others.

This is our team. Win or lose. Good days and bad.

Go Rams!

This should be good but we should pull this out. I've read some pessimism within the past week, and I think you guys are forgetting/underestimating one thing...Robert Woods is back!!! We should be able to spread apart that defense and all will benefit!

Not sure sure how well I'm going to handle this game. I drank the kool-aid in preseason and bet on our team to win the division at some pretty nice odds. It's make or break time not only for our team but for my bank account.

This is supposed to be one of those changing-of-the-guard type of games, where the Horns dethrone the Seahawks as the NFC West standard bearer. The 'Hawks will not! roll over and play dead: we are gonna have to whup 'em good. If Seattle comes off with that freaked up attitude they displayed in the last play agains the Jaguars, i really hope our young guys do not get drawn into that crap. Sean & his crew probably have been preaching to them about maintaining their poise and making statements with their play, rather than their mouths or fists.

In the first Seattle game, turnovers killed our victory chances---we simply have to protect the damn rock. Ditto for the Washington loss where Jared learned the folly of staring down receivers against NFL savvy defenders. In the Minny/Philly losses, our opponents practically doubled our time of possession. Sean has to dial up the proper balance of rush/pass to keep defenders off balance, maintain drives, and help our own defense to rest up for crunch-time heroics. Malcolm Brown has a game under his belt since his return, so, please!, let the Gurley Man & his OL punish these ill-tempered Seattle defenders.

We need to spank them severely for the good of both teams. Seattle needs to learn that having the eighth man (their home crowd) and the ninth man (the damn NFL not passing out player-earned suspensions) just simply ain't going to cut it against the McVay-SonOfBum-Bones Horns!!! Our young guys need to see for themselves that they can take all the crap in an enemy stadium and the unfair NFL favoring of a perennial elite team and still give themselves an effective enema of mental mistakes and poor executions. They need to know they can! dominate any! team and win this very season---not next year---while they are still in the process of ascending to the apex of their impressive team potential. If we do not make it all the way, is it really negative? Teams this young are not supposed to be Super Bowl champions so soon. But should we buck the odds and win out all the way . . . again! . . . from worst to first . . . what a way to party like it's 1999!?!

Hmmm. Something about perennial elite team and Seattle Seahawks mentioned in the same breath doesn't sit well with me. The only thing that comes to mind is trash AFC West team. Fuckers have no business being the dominant team here. Get them the fuck out already. That's our shit!!

I'm pretty calm because I think we win this game. Their defense isn't the Legion of Boom anymore, and our Dline will penetrate at will. Our guys need to be more disciplined at containing RW. Gurley will be a screen monster for Jared Goff, and the LOB thumpers won't be there to stop him. The Rams score 30+ points and win this game comfortable at Clink.

Hang onto the damn ball!!! Rams out played the Hags last time in every phase of the game but one.

Turnovers.

Protect the rock, pick off Wilson one or two times and the Rams get a win.

Can't remember the last time the Rams played a game of this importance in week 15 (or any week for that matter)...Possible near lock in the division (W) to maybe needing some help to get into the playoffs at all (L)...Yeah, kind of important I guess !!!

I hope so...One side of their line is now quite good...I'd like to get Gurley some work early so that they can't tee off on Goff...Then open up the passing game against a secondary that barely resembles what it's been for the past several years...D has to somehow corral Wussell..He's obviously the only thing that gives their O any teeth....For once I get to see all of a late game...C'mon guys, make it happen...It's been WAY too fucking long '!!!

Note to Jared; 1,2,3 Throw! No matter what McVay is shouting in your helmet!

Go Rams! Nothing shuts down the 12 man like coming out on fire and keep on rolling!
Dominate on all 3: Offense, Defense and Extra Special teams!

I'm feeling a block by Littleton is happening today..
