Usually a team rallies around each other when an injury occurs, and the other team relaxes..... Rams have been known to play down to lesser opponents.... So I don't see an advantage.

Poppycock. They are not a lesser opponent and have to have revenge on the mind. Charb isn’t their lead back. If they relax after a 2nd stringer goes down, they don’t deserve a Lombardi

Seahawks offense is not nearly as dangerous in terms of weapons as the Bears were. Smith is the major problem and will require focus and safety support over the top. Kupp should be contained for the most part by Lake or whoever else, I think he's going to make some plays but just keep him from going off. And I expect our defensive front is capable of shutting down their run game for the most part as well. It's actually a decent matchup for our defense, and one they should be able to handle. Just disrupt Darnold and prevent Smith from running free all over the joint.

Where the Seahawks are dangerous is that defense takes the ball away and gives them good field position as well. And they're strong on teams too. So the way our offense has played I don't know that we're going to see the sharp version of them. It would be nice. But they just struggled to protect vs a rather pedestrian Bears front, and Stafford has looked inaccurate. Also they're probably going to get shit on with field position because of teams. Or maybe we see that rare game from this group that reminds us what they're capable of. Wouldn't that be nice.

My bad. Merge at will.

But I do think that chalking this up to no big deal since he's "2nd string" is not at all true. I always thought he did the most damage when they're near the goal line or need a few third and short conversions. He's a load and I feared him the most.

Being able to focus on Walker alone is a big boost. Especially since I don't think the Rams are going to relax just because of it...

Poppycock.

Sando thinks (hopes) the Rams are running on fumes...

The Seahawks and Rams will play for a third time this season with a Super Bowl berth on the line. Much will be made about how even the first two games were on the scoreboard. That's not the story.

These teams have traveled much different paths since Seattle overcame a 16-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat the Rams in Week 16.

The Rams have logged 13,500 air miles to play 6,824 player snaps across four games featuring 650 total plays. They outscored their opponents 115-95 in those games, and led by less than one point on average during any single play. That's a grueling road from Seattle to Los Angeles to Atlanta and back, Charlotte and back, Chicago and back, and then up to Seattle.

The Seahawks over the same time period have traveled less than 6,000 miles to play 4,411 player snaps across three games featuring 411 total plays. They outscored their opponents 81-19 in those games, and led by 10.2 points on average during any single play. That's a breeze.

The Seahawks probably won't beat the Rams by the kind of margin they beat the 49ers, but the Rams, like the 49ers, fit the profile of a team without as much fuel remaining in the tank. They have made round trips to Charlotte and Chicago since Seattle last traveled (to the Bay Area in Week 18).

If the Rams reach the Super Bowl, they will have earned it. But this game could get away from them if the Seahawks do not comply with turnovers (they've committed seven, while collecting only one, in their two games against the Rams so far this season).
The miles shouldn't really matter. The player snaps might. But I still think none of this really affects the game. The Rams will come out ready to play and have the game plan to take down the mighty shecocks. I doubt being tired is really a thing for these guys. It matters more if they are beat up. It doesn't appear that that is the case so...

It's time for the Rams to impose their will on this team and show them who is the class of the league.

I don't think the Rams necessarily need to score 30+ points to grind out a win in this game.

Game one with the hawks the final score was:

Rams 21
Hawks 19

If the defense plays like they did in Chicago, thiere could very well be an outcome with a similar lower scoring game. In my opinion, I think this will be the more likely outcome, again assuming the defense kicks some ass.

Walker is still a load. I'm pleased they have less depth, but Walker gashed us in the last game for 11/100 and a TD along with 3 receptions for 64 yards. That is 164 yards and TD on us. He was the problem last game and who we should be planning for anyway.
Yeah I dont see this as a good thing, just means more carries/plays for Walker who is quite a beast himself

Being a retired lazy ass, I watch Cowherd and First Things First a lot. What I can't wrap my head around with Cowherd is he presents the matchup this way. Seattle has the better roster, the Rams are the cleaner team (no penalties, no turnovers). But.....the Seahawks "almost" beat the Rams twice and Carolina "almost" beat the Rams twice, so the Rams are susceptible. The Rams beat Seattle picking off Darnold 4 times and put up 581 yards in the rematch. They would have won, if there wasn't a freak 2 point conversion, never before seen in NFL annals and if the Thicker Kicker didn't pick that game with 2:11 left in the 4th to miss his only FG of the season. Of course to Cowherd's credit his gives the ST edge to Seattle. Obviously. It's all good. I like the Rams being underdogs FWIW.

One thing I really liked that I heard on the tube is Stafford was asked if "this was his last chance to win another Super Bowl" and he said, (paraphrasing) "I don't ever thing about that. I hope this is not my last chance". REALLY????? You coming back for 2026??? I think he will!!!

The Rams lost all their games, the other teams didn't beat them. Maybe Atlanta beat us straight up but we still had a shot to win that game in the end and the ball didn't roll our way.

We lost to seattle, being up 16, the Rams had the ball with 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter. The Seahawks had to score 3 TD's and 3 2-point conversions to beat the Rams that Thursday night. The Rams blew it plain and simple.

You also have to take into account these media talking heads only watch snippets of the games and do not watch the entire game, so they don't really see all of the ins and outs of how they got there. It's really lazy sports journalism, which is why I almost never watch.

... Maybe that is why interruptions are thrown. - they ain't afraid to throw it.
Yeah.
Add that to the "not tight" coverage ability of our defensive backs.
People want to sling the ball on us overall.
Probably because it works.

the Rams secondary played excellent without Forbes.
I think the coaches on the Rams are waiting for Forbes to have another one of those games were he was flying all over the place knocking balls out of mid-air.
But he hasn't been doing that lately.
