Against the Bears - I called for the Rams to score 31 to ensure victory. I also indicated (errantly) 20 points wouldn’t win it. In reality 20 points probably shouldn’t have won it but the Rams defense made that possible.
For the Seahawks game I’m calling for 34 points to win it. That again means TDs not FGs. And stating 26 points will not win it.

I'm thinking the same thing.... Rams offense will need 30 plus points to beat the buzzards. It looks likes the buzzards offense is clicking on all cylinders.

I think we can hang 40 on the hawks. Can we hold them to under 40? I think so. If our pass rush heats up we can crush them but I don't expect that. Think it will be another close game. Will need some luck, and a lot of resolve to survive this one and advance to the big dance.

Here are some things that stand out to me about the two Ram v Seahawks games this season:

- The Seahawks NEVER Sacked Stafford (A testament to the OLine)

- Stafford threw ZERO INTs

- The Rams had only 1 turnover (fumble)

- The Ram offense had 995 total yards in both games (414 game 1 & 581 game 2)

- The Seahawk offense had 664 total yards in both games (249 game 1 and 415 game 2)

We know and really don't need to rehash the two crazy calls the refs made in game two, (in my mind the most bogus call being the illegal man downfield on the touchdown)

We know each game tells it's own story, so we don't know how this game will go...but...THE VAUNTED SEAHAWK DEFENSE DOESN'T/HASN'T PHASED THE RAM OFFENSE in two games. McVay knows how to attack that defense. McVay knows how to pick this Seattle team apart after two games (but he can't be greedy offensively this game either).

As I see it, the key has to be that once again SPECIAL TEAMS performance must be good and the Rams win this game!!!

I really haven't got a feel about this 3rd matchup yet, but PEOPLE ARE JUMPING TO THE SEAHWKS BEACAUSE THEY ANNIHILATED A CRIPPLED 49ER TEAM 41-6. That's their last memory of the Seahawks.

THE RAMS ARE THE SEAHAWKS KRYPTONITE AS I SEE IT, AND ALL THEY NEED TO DO IS FOCUS ON THIS GAME AND PLAY LIKE THEY KNOW HOW!!!

I think maybe sit Forbes....For some reason I thought he played the whole game but learned that he didn't return after getting smashed by the Bears RB and was out for most of the game, and the Rams secondary played excellent without Forbes.

The general feeling among everyone is that the Rams dropped off in December and backed into the playoffs.

I’d agree with that. Yep. True. Yep, they’ve backed right up into the NFCC game :emergency:

Seattle had better hope this isn’t the week the Rams revert to playing 4 qtrs of complimentary football.

I'll take 3 qtrs of complimentary football.... We do that Seattle won't have a chance.

This Rams team has been battle tested while the Seahawks just cruised into this NFC Championship game. When it comes to this time of the season you have to be able to find a way to win these close games. I really believe the Rams will light up Donald and the Seachickens, in this one.

We've got a not of momentum on our side. We've already gone through two wars in the playoffs, so the moment won't get too big for us. We just won a game where we had to put Cayenne pepper in our freaking socks and still won a game IN THE COLD. And now, we face a team that got lucky the last time we played, and I'm sure the team knows they owe it to Dotson to win it all.

Seahawks' and Niners' schedules were right at .500.

I think the NFL really needs to reevaluate their playoff seedings and bye systems and criteria (especially wrt division winners vs. better teams).

I've seen in a handful of places that this game could "get away" from the Rams....people are clearly reading into how Seattle has played since our game vs how we did.

I'm not guaranteeing victory or anything like that, but...

In the first game, we scored a TD with 8:38 left in the first quarter and then never trailed in the game. We led in this game for 51.5 minutes, 18 of those by two scores

In the second game, we first took the lead with 3:43 left in the first half. We led for 5 minutes, then retook the lead and held it for 17 minutes.

So in 120 minutes of regulation game time, we led for around 74 minutes.

We were tied for 23 minutes.

Seattle led for roughly 23 minutes.

And what's funny about this is, if the refs dont call that illegal man downfield on the TD we had in Seattle, we likely never trail in the second game and win it rather easily.

I don't know how anyone watched those games and would come away thinking we didn't control them.

Except they could have played better *maybe*. They don't start Forbes because he's weak. That would be dumb. Some think about the 1st Panther game where he got burned for two TDs. I believe thats burned in his memory, and he plays pretty sound and is an excellent tackler.

He was going low on the play he got injured. The the RB got lower and he got hurt.

They held him out to save him for Seattle but it was made clear if they needed him, he could go.

Having said that, D Will did great coming in and we wait to see how Forbes' shoulder works out this week.

People tend to get hung up on the last game a team plays. Seahawks win in a route. Rams need overtime to win. Before that the Bears 25 point 4th quarter had people saying the Rams are gonna lose.

They fail to see the NFL is a week to week league. What a team does one week has no bearing on the next game. Rams and Seahawks are clearly the best teams in the NFL. Seahawks had the easy route. Rams had the tough route. Obviously the Rams are fully capable of knowing what it takes to win a slugfest or shootout.

AI:
NFL referee Clay Martin's stats show his crews often call high rates of False Starts and Offensive Holding, with significant home/away disparity favoring home teams against the spread, and he's known for a large home/away penalty difference, with his crews averaging around 100+ penalty yards per game, especially in recent seasons. He was promoted to referee in 2018 after starting as an umpire, officiating numerous playoff games, and his crews have been assigned high-profile postseason matchups.

In this upcoming game, having 1/2 of the Hawk's running game out is going to be huge.

Just like at UCLA, Charbonnet was a load.
